    Cork and flame is one of my favorite Augusta restaurants. The food is consistently good, but on our last two visits, it has failed to offer that little something extra that has been its trademark. Sadly, I had family in from out of town and we had raved about how great the service and ambience was and tonight it was just OK.  we were seated in the large back room, which is not as desirable an area,  the service was good, but just lacked polish, the bathroom was dirty, no candle lit,  and they did not finish off the meal with the customary cotton candy because according to our waiter, they couldn’t do it when it’s raining outside. Again good food but for the prices you pay it’s just nice to have the little something extra this restaurant usually offers and if it continues down the path it’s been on the last two visits will be looking for somewhere that offers more.

   We were pleasantly surprised! Food quality was excellent, definitely get the brussel sprouts. All 3 of us had the filet and had a great meal, we will be back for sure!

   The food was FANTASTIC! It was hard to hear each other across the table, yet could hear the conversations beside us. It is more like family-style seating. The tables are very close together so there is no privacy. Five star food and 1 star noise and seating.

   Food was delicious as usual. They were out of the palate cleansers that are usually served between courses. Tables were squished together so there was no private conversations to be had which reduced the ambiance quite a bit. Would still come back as it was just a busy day.

   Greeting was pleasant, we were early from church, seated promptly. The waitress, Anna forgot us so we got a young man that only worked there a few months; he was an ABSOLUTE delight. Had us laughing, checked in us just enough. It was my husband 65th birthday, so he had our dessert removed from check. His choice. The steak was out of this world! THE VERY BEST I’ve eaten! Last year there were 9 of us and the dining experience was OUTSTANDING. That coming from 7 of my family members are serious world travelers for food experiences. My 13 year old grandson is teaching himself to cook. He’s great! He cooked in Africa this past summer. We really had a beautiful evening and are so blessed with the service we provided.    This was our second time at Cork & Flame. We love the wine shop & the Somes suggestion on champagne & wines! The food is unique & full of exception flavors! Not disappointing at all! Our server was knowledgeable. The timing of orders delivered was perfect with special pallet cleansers in between corses.

   We have been dining at C&F regular for the last 4 years, including at least 6 Inicio meals , and I have to say that the last few times have been pretty disappointing, with tonight’s meal and seating placement hitting a record low. We were seated at the back of the restaurant next to a table of 4 children under the age of 7. Consequentially, we felt like we were eating in a kindergarten. I’ll accept this at a McDonalds or Mellow Mushroom, but not for the price of a meal at C&F. But most disappointing was the food. Flavorless dipping sauce for the Pakora and under cooked scallops to mention a few issues. Overall mediocre experience and considering this use to be our favorite restaurant , very disappointing.

   If I could give 6 stars I would. The best food I have ever tasted and unparalleled service from the in house Sommelier and our server, Will. Could not recommend more enthusiastically.

   Evening was perfect. Service, food and ambiance are exceptional. Planned the evening for my brother and his girlfriend. They made the evening everything I had hoped for. Strongly recommend this place.
