Definitely not a major issue as we had nowhere to be and were perfectly fine just sipping our drinks patiently.\n\nAmbiance: Beautiful woodsy room with high ceilings and lodge-esque decor. You'll definitely feel like you're going to summer camp as you pull in to the parking lot. One wall has floor-to-ceiling glass to overlook the surrounding area, so there's a lovely view as well.\n\nCork Fire's menu rotates fairly often, so also a good excuse to visit multiple times. Have had way better boards with much more variety for same money elsewhere. Craft cocktails were excellent, but overpriced. Chocolate cake with sweet potato gelato was very satisfying. Overall, the value was questionable. Check totalled $200 for two people (only one of which had cocktails and also ordered the least expensive entree on the menu). This dinner would have easily cost closer to $300 if we had both ordered steak or seafood and cocktails. We could have gone to George's or Mr. A's for that kind of money. It's worth a try if you don't feel like driving to San Diego. There are definitely better values to be had down there. Lastly, it was a special occasion and we had made specific mention of that in our reservation and our special night was completely ignored, not mentioned one time. No offer of complimentary dessert. Our waitress was excellent - she checked with the kitchen to make sure I knew the weight of the burger, 6 ounces, by the way, and absolutely delicious. My wife had the sea bass which was top drawer. We split an endive salad and a pretty stunning sweet potato gelato and chocolate cake to round off a quite delicious dinner. My favorite part, besides sitting across from my lovely wife, was the amount of wine this restaurant routinely serves. Yes, $16 for a glass is dear but at least they fill it generously! Al in all, a fabulous dining experience. Can’t wait for our next visit. The other problem was that we had a reservation for 5 Pm and somehow it was changed to 5:15. I explained this to the hostesses , yet we still had to wait. There were a lot of empty tables at the time of our reservation. Its very hard on me to wait especially as I am disabled . At first there wasn’t anywhere to sit-down as there were people sitting in the waiting area. It’s hard for me to wait a long time to be seated as I am disabled I finally was able to sit-down while we were waiting for our table. We just aren’t sure why we had to wait. I’m pretty sure that I had it in my notes on our open table reservation, that I am disabled and hard for me to stand up for long periods of time. . As far as their menu, not sure if that’s their normal menu or their regular menu. My husband and I usually give a restaurant one chance because we feel first impressions are the most important. Unfortunately, due to their menu last night we won’t be returning to the restaurant. It’s really a shame because we all had the burgers and enjoyed them. We didn’t feel the restaurant is overpriced. I think had the menu been more extensive last night, we would be returning to the restaurant. The restaurant is nice, staff is friendly, & the food & drinks were great. The prices are average for high end restaurants, you’re definitely not dining here for a deal but it is worth the price to be able to enjoy great food, great service, & relaxing atmosphere.

The service was impeccable. Our waitress was attentive and genuine. The food was amazing. We sat on the window over looking the golf course. My only small negative would be it was noisy but I could still hear my husband.
