   Food was good however when we went in for our anniversary meal it was quiet yet they insisted we sit on a table near the door,every time someone came in the draught went right over our table. The service was lack luster.

   We eat in this restaurant at least once a week, but on this occasion, our experience was terrible. We were placed on a table by the MD with no table set-up, and when I asked if our table could be laid, I was told that that section was out of action and would not be laid! I therefore went straight to the MD, and informed her of what the waiter had informed me. Another MD stepped in and moved us to another table. I thin had to ask for salt and pepper to be provided to our table, as there was none present, whereas all tables around us had some in place. I had to repeat my request for table water when it was not forthcoming at the first asking. Our order was finally taken, and we both explicitly asked that no garlic butter be placed on our steaks. It duly arrived with garlic butter on one of our steaks. We were asked if one of us wished to proceed with the steak that was correct, and I rejected that, because that would have meant my partner would have finished her meal when mine arrived later. Both sets of frites came with the correct steaks but, they were now cold, so clearly they had been left on the side to go cold and to be returned later with the correct steaks. Linen napkins are normally served at this restaurant, but we were only offered paper napkins. I informed the MD at the end of the meal of the list of problems we had experienced.

   Terrible service - they told us they’d give us 2 hours . We got kicked out basically after 1:30 m . Waiter was so mean - table right next to the door - started shouting when I didn’t understand what she said They expected us to order within 5 minutes when we had to clue what there was on the menus I understand is New Year’s Eve and it’s busy . But your job has to be done & well. People pay for such an experience and at least expect a well behaved person as a waiter. Never again thanks :)

   Had to wait for cutlery when starters arrived. Drinks didn’t arrive until we had nearly finished our starters. Hard to get serving staff attention, they all seemed to be rushed off their feet. The saving grace was the food, which as always was very good and the 3-course deal for £40 was very good also. A bit of better management would make this restaurant excellent.

   Delicious brunch in nice surroundings. It felt a bit chilly inside so this is the only reason why we’ve given it 4stars rather than 5

   We all very much enjoyed our food and the atmosphere and the complementary bottle of champagne for the birthday girl was very much appreciated

   Really good quality food. Wide menu choice. A very busy Saturday lunchtime the weekend after Christmas so if doing a pre theatre lunch book with plenty of time. Lovely servers. Would return.
