   We went early before the theater. Everyone was very helpful since we are not from Tampa but from the areaabout an hour away. .Service excellent and we ordered several small plates. The ahi tuna dish was not what was expectedand overly spicy and both of us agreed it was not to our liking. The stuffed figs and the artichokes were wonderful. The crab ravioli was not as good as the other dishes.

   Delicious food in an inviting atmosphere with a great waitress. Perfect for celebrating our birthdays or just the fact it was Sunday.

   Nice setting with a typical elevated brunch menu. Unfortunately, the space was extremely loud, and the servers were clearly overwhelmed due to poor coverage. Our server was covering both indoor and outdoor areas, running from the furthest table against the wall to our back corridor table and out to the patio. The food was underwhelming—French toast, eggs, bacon, and Benedict dishes all missed the mark. The grits, however, were excellent. Even our Diet Cokes were flat and flavorless. The nicest part of the experience was the setting itself—tables, dishware, glasses, and surprisingly comfortable high-end plastic chairs. If you’re looking for an elevated casual brunch, there are many better options nearby at a similar price point. Glad we stopped in, but we won’t be returning.

   I absolutely love this restaurant! I went for my birthday brunch and had the best time celebrating with my favorite people. The food was outstanding and came out at the perfect time, even with the restaurant being steady. Our server was amazing—so attentive and friendly. The drinks were excellent, and the overall vibe made the experience even better. I can’t say enough good things about this place! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Also it’s right on bay shore, brunch with a view :)

   Counter Culture was a pleasant surprise. We sat outside on their patio. We had a reservation and were promptly seated for brunch. Our waiter, Patrick was very pleasant, gave recommendations, and placed our orders promptly. Whatever you do make sure you order the pimento cheese biscuits. They were delish. I had the macadamia nut pancakes with passion fruit syrup. This was truly a taste of the tropics. My son had the tortilla española with patatas bravas. It was quite obviously great as he left not a drop. Drinks were delicious and very bouzy. Will visit again… but I’ll try dinner next time

   We ate small plates because we couldn’t decide from so many interesting choices. The chargrilled octopus and the artichokes were our favorites although everything was excellent. Plates were beautifully presented.

    This was my 3rd dining experience at Counter Culture. The reason for continuing my visits was simply that I had a gift card. The service team is not consistent and lukewarm. The attention to the customer is also inconsistent. The Team don’t really help each other…and I observed many opportunities for team members to open a door to help another Server or clear their table (at one point 4 people were simply standing around the stand at the entry). This never happened and we had several empty dishes sat in our table for quite a while. We enjoyed the oysters on a half shell from Massachusetts. We had ordered several dishes…but the oysters were the only really pleasing dish. I will not be returning anytime soon. It’s too bad…lots of potential.
