Cowboy Cantina is committed to bringing its guests innovative Southwestern Cuisine, food based in the rustic cooking and recipes of dishes that were eaten by colonial Spanish settlers, American Cowboys, Native Americans, and even the people of Mexico to the south. Known for its diversity and spices, specifically chile, whether red or green. Cowboy brings a fusion of these chiles (specifically from Hatch) and combines them with traditional “Americana” dishes and we believe our guests will find them as delicious as we do. Bring your boots and appetites and stay for the party!

GREAT find for Father's Day weekend getaway from San Diego. The Brussel Sprouts and chicken wings appetizers were AMAZING, especially the Brussel Sprouts, The preparation of this dish was the best I've ever had. :-) And if you want a GENEROUS size dessert, definitely order the Sopapillas. A definite share with the TABLE! :-) Have to also give a shout out for their traditional Mule drink. Again, the best I've ever had. Our server was fabulous and knew the menu well. Her recommendation of the brisket plate for my husband was a winner. When we return to Palm Springs for our next getaway, will definitely return to Cowboy Cantina.

One of the best places to eat in Palm Desert. It was restaurant week and we took advantage of the 3 course menu. Everything was delicious and I was expecting a smaller portion of items but not so. Big portions and the food was cooked perfectly. You must try this spot!

The name can be deceptive. Cowboy Cantina does serve a number of BBQ Santa Fe style and Tex Mex dishes but there are plenty of others too. Everything has a little twist so you won’t be feeling a lot of Deja Vu A lot of places sell what they call BBQ but isn’t really BBQ. The BBQ items here are the real thing. Smokey and very tender. Servings are very decent in size. Service is good but unrushed. Prices very reasonable by today’s standards. The atmosphere is relaxed, low key and relaxing. The brisket and baby back ribs are two of my favorites. The roasted Brussels sprouts are perfect. Located on the very western edge of El Paseo. Check it out!

Our food was excellent. Service was a bit slow at times. Overall we had an enjoyable meal with friends. I would highly recommend it.

My first time here. Went for the Restaurant Week menu and wound up ordering other items off the regular menu. Good food, good service and good value in a welcoming atmosphere.
