Never going back. Made a dinner reservation for 7pm…sat juts to be told we needed to go to the bar for service. 90% of the food items we ordered they were out of. Then to be told I can substitute a spirit on a cocktail was absolutely ridiculous. After waiting 15 min for the drinks we did order, we cancelled and left. Worst experience ever

We had a reservation for two - booth, standard seating - at 6 pm. The hostess told me that all they had was a high-top. Furthermore, at a high-top we wouldn't get a server to take our order - we've have to go to the bar to order food. I told her my reservation specified standard seating. However, she said that the reservation didn't specify the type - which is false. I can't say if the staff is incompetent or simply dishonest. I don't believe the service at Crimson Whiskey Bar is in line with other restaurants similarly priced. I suspect they too heavily on its proximity to the 7th Street entertainment district, perhaps using the ample availability of customers as justification to abuse the OpenTable service.

My party had a reservation for 5:15. We arrived 5 minutes late, and were told that because it was a busy night, they gave our table to another party since we were “late”. When we questioned this, they asked why I didn’t call that we would be late. Typically, restaurants have a grace period of 15 minutes, and their reservation policy said nothing about a 5 minute or less grace period. We were begrudgingly sat at another table, instead of the bar where they initially told us we could be seated. However, the seats they sat us at did not have wait service, so we had to order food and drinks at the bar. Our table ordered 4 burgers, and after an hour, they still hadn’t come, so we asked a bartender to check on our order. The bartender never came back, so we had to go to the bar again to ask about our order that had never been put in, before we finally got our food. Would not recommend coming here due to terrible service, and the fact that a reservation does not garuntee a table.

Service was not great. They are a restaurant near the arena, so they should be aware that they will have a rush before a show. They need more options for food since they ran out of the burger by 6:00.

Great drinks. Very helpful staff to help navigate through the whiskey list. Good selection of small and large plate bar food and the food was served fresh and hot. Very conveniently located across the street from Capital One Arena so this will be a good pre-game stop.

I like ordering from the bar for food, and the service is fast. Perfect place before the CAPS game. Our bartender was friendly and made great drinks. We even chatted with security like we were regulars. We will be back

They did not have servers. We had to go to bar and order drinks and food. But they still added 20% on our bill. Ridiculous!

Great selection of whiskey. Good food. Three different spaces for hanging out. The basement bar is lively but noisy. We hung out at the ground floor lounge which has comfortable seating and isn’t too noisy. There’s a penthouse space too with views of the city. I would go back.

Its not very clear when you make a reservation that you cannot sit in the whiskey bar section below. I made a reservation for a large group thinking we would be seated downstairs but instead we got put at a back table near the bathrooms, which had a very strong chemical or air freshener smell that could be smelled at the table. Crimson needs to differentiate more clearly that the reservation does not include sitting downstairs.
