While still relatively new, Cypress has some kinks to work out. I ordered a Caesar salad with rotisserie chicken and received a nice Caesar salad but the chicken was like what you’d find in a chicken sandwich - loose chicken pieces that had never been in the rotisserie or even grilled. I’ll pass next time and head to Primrose.

Cypress is a must visit for anyone coming to Steamboat Springs. The food is absolutely amazing and you can tell with every bite that the culinary team is crafting their dishes from scratch. The seafood gumbo was perfectly balanced and you could taste the “creole flavor” in every bite. And every dish we had was equal or better to the gumbo. Our server was super attentive, but never intrusive.The atmosphere was perfectly suitable for any type of group. Well done Cypress! Five Stars all the way.

We totally enjoyed Cypress last night! We’d always loved Carl’s & were so disappointed when it closed. So we’re very happy Cypress has opened! Drinks, shrimp app, 3 meat loaf dinners for our table, chicken pot pie, pork chop and bread pudding…we all loved our dishes! Delicious food, the remodel is beautiful, not as noisy & all the staff were excellent too! Sam our waitress was just great…loved her! Thank you Sam for helping make out evening a memorable one. We’ll definitely be back!

Best restaurant in which we have dined. Hands down. Food was great, large portions, great drink menu. Great service. Hard to believe they have only been open for about 6 weeks (we visited Jan 14 2025). We will return.

A beautiful interior update which gave customers less noise. Wait staff were excellent and on top of presentation of food and delivery. Chicken and steak were quality, with adequate portions, although vegetables were additional costs. A little pricey on drinks.Really excited about this new restaurant.

Cypress was a wonderful experience. This restaurant was once Carl’s then was bought out and lost some of the quality we looked for . Now under new ownership Steamboat has a high quality new restaurant with a menu worth trying. We already have a reservation for a return dining experience.
