Nice service, friendly and didn’t rush us, explained the food thoroughly. Delicious appetizers but none of us were crazy about the main courses (mushrooms on a skewer weirdly soft and with a gravy-like sauce that is truly unappealing to vegetarians; chicken also weird). - Also very good Israeli wine and beer. The noise level way too high and the background music an added annoyance. When will NYC restaurants understand how unpleasant it is to eat in an ear-splitting environment? Awfully pricey but that is everywhere and they need to stay afloat. Will use henceforth either for take-out or will sit outside in summer.

Server was very defensive and rude when we sent back the rice twice.

We went for the Sedar dinner for passover. We booked again this year for the holiday because we had a great experience last year at a fair price. However, this year they changed the pricing to charging $15 per person for a Sedar plate unless we all got the prix fix menu. For a party of 8, thats $125 or a Sedar Plate! Last year we were able to get one Sedar Plate for $25 and we could all order a la carte. We felt forced into getting the prix fix because of their policy and our bill this year was almost double of last year because of it. Very overpriced. We will never return again because they completely took advantage of its customers celebrating passover with their new pricing. Very disappointing

Dagon is a unique and wonderful restaurant with middle eastern food and sensibilities. Flavors, whether it is small plate or appetizer , are different typical restaurant fare and terrific.. Breads and sides are exciting to look at smell and eat. Entrees, a variety of prepared fish, lamb and, if you must, chicken are flavored and spiced well and all different one from another. And desserts vary from traditional NY menus and great. If you are looking for something different and of high quality Dagon should be tried.

Great food but, it would be wonderful if they could change the menu more -- offer more seasonally appropriate dishes. We don't want to eat autumnal dishes like salmon with pomegranate, red cabbage and spiced apples in the Spring. And the menu can benefit from more variety, more options and some new dishes. Their menu hasn't changed much in years and this deters me from dining there more often.

Usually a great neighborhood choice, Dagon was off its game last night (I chose 4 stars as credit for past experiences there) Service was VERY slow and the food wasn't of the quality we are used to there.

Decent but overpriced. Especially for the bread. Avoid sitting in the back

Service was super slow - our server was very distracted talking to a team member and we had to keep waving at him all the time. Starters were great, the bread was amazing. However we ordered the oxtail as a main (from the forgotten dishes special list) and there was barely any meat - basically a chickpea soup. They also gave us fork and knife to share it without realizing we needed spoons......And the server not even noticed/asked if we liked it.
