Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities.

In cohesion with the Presidio National Park, the design features soft, natural colors; repurposed furniture items from the Presidio; and a mural and a hand-drawn wall paper by Bay Area artist Emily Parkinson. Diners can enjoy a patio with a view of Alcatraz; an intimate private dining room; a lofty main dining room surrounded by windows on two sides; a cozy bar that is a local favorite; and an open-concept kitchen counter with counter seats and high tables.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Laura and Sayat

From the OpenTable editors: This Presidio restaurant—where the food is just as stunning as the Bay views—is founders Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz love letter to the Eastern Mediterranean. The menu is meant for sharing; the fluffy pitas are a must-order with hummus and muhammara. Better still, go for the chef's menu, so you can get the best of Dalida's juicy kebabs and seafood that landed it a spot on Esquire's Best New Restaurants list.

We did the family menu for 2. There was plenty of food. The cocktails was wonderful and the food was amazing. I love the dips and homemade bread. The lamb ribs was perfectly cooked. The roasted parnips was slightly too salty but delicious. I would have like maybe fish for the main course to balance out the meal that was meat heavy. However we enjoyed everything and would definitely recommend and go back.

This was my fourth time at Dalida, and I am always super excited to go. Unfortunately, I was completely let down. The service was well below average - no welcome from our server, no description of the menu/food style, no recommendations. This was after almost a ten minute delay from the time we were sat until we were handed menus. This kicked off the least impressive service experience of my four dinning experiences at Dalida (and continued all the way to dessert with the only pleasant interaction being an ask of our table about a second round of drinks). We gave the midye dolma a second try (after not loving it the first time) and recommend guests avoid it. It completely pales in comparison to what you’d find in Turkey. Per usual, the breaking bread was the star of the show - can’t recommend it enough. The Su Borek is interesting, but if you’re looking for a classic borek, this isn’t quite it. The desserts were especially yummy. Overall, the service was really the let down last night. I really hope this isn’t a sign of what is to come.

We have now dined here twice and every time the food was exceptional. I have not experienced octopus served in this most unique and delicate way which made taste and feel outstanding.

Our first time at Dalida for a birthday lunch was delightful. The hamburger, fatoush salad and kibbi were wonderful. Sides of saffron rice and seasoned fries were also excellent. The portions were perfect. The staff was attentive but gave us plenty of time to chat, nothing rushed. We were pleasantly surprised with a little birthday dessert treat to share. The seating was comfortable which is so hard to find these days. Very nice background music, we were able to converse easily and not fight the ambient noise even though the restaurant was very full for the lunch hour business. I was just a bit underwhelmed with the decor. It’s pretty but a bit stark for my taste. I immediately booked another birthday lunch for the following week so obviously this minor decor detail didn’t stop me from wanting more of Dalida’s fantastic fare.

This was our first time at Dalida, we went for my husband's birthday. We found out about it on Check Please Bay Area and wanted to try it. The hostess was very gracious when we showed up late due to traffic. We were seated at the chef's counter and it was THE best seat in the house. Our server was incredible and always around. Jerry the Wine manager was extremely knowledgeable about their extensive wine lists and how to pair up our preferences with the food we were ordering. We had a delicious crisp, dry white from Greece (forgot to take a pic of the label so I don't remember the varietal) but similar to an Albariño. A few of the stand out dishes were the Breaking Bread appetizer, Lamb pasta, and the Trout. We had a chance to thank Chef Laura Ozyilmaz in person as she fluttered about the kitchen and dining room. Overall we loved it and would go back again.

First dining experience for birthday celebration and Dalida did not disappoint. From start to finish a delightfully savory meal (lamb chops) and exceptional service from all staff members. Will definitely return! Thank you!
