   Excellent time. Waitresses put up with my dad’s mega dad jokes and questions in addition to helping us order (aka not order too much food). The hot and sour egg drop soup was phenomenal.

   My first time to DanDan and don't think I'll be back. First and foremost, the service is seriously lacking...and slow. After asking for a few more minutes before we received the check we proceeded to wait 45 minutes while trying to call out to our waiter. It was ridiculous. The food is not bad. The crab rangoon is the best I've ever had....actually tasted like crab. The Bao buns are enormous....like the size of a hamburger and looked like one too, just way too large. I'd be better if they were single buns vs a double. Chow fun was VERY salty. The pork dumplings are really good, again, bit salty but that was due to the lake of sauce and crunch toppings. The real head scratcher though was the Happy Chicken. It is a dry fried chicken, no sauce with the worlds supply of chili peppers....like over 15 per bowl. It was very odd. The heat was good, but of the 4 in our party everyone pushed them all aside. Fun atmosphere, very busy.

   Restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening. We were warmly greeted and shown promptly to our table. Food was delicious and service was outstanding. We had a person at our table with nut allergies and I wrote it in a note on Open Table when I made he reservation-which I always do-the hostess mentioned it as we were walking to our table which almost never happens. They also gave a separate menu specifically showing the food items suitable for someone with a nut allergy. Well done DanDan.

   Definitely one of our favorite spots in Milwaukee. The service is always so friendly and lovely. The Happy chicken is one of the most delicious dishes I have ever had. So crispy, so flavorful, nice and spicy. Slightly higher price range than most Chinese restaurants but worth every penny. We had the sesame chicken bao as an appetizer and that was super delicious. 10/10 would recommend and have recommended to everyone.

    For the price of $30 the lunch buffet needed at least one more item, perhaps a dessert?
