   Made a reservation for a birthday dinner. Arrived a few minutes early and was seated. Great service from the start and all throughout the night. Food was amazing. I will definitely return.

   We went for Sacramento Dine Downtown so did not eat from the regular menu. The choices were outstanding. The three courses were all inventive, beautifully prepared and incredibly delicious. I wanted to order another full round at the end just to taste it all again. Hats off to the chefs. We also had the wine pairing which was reasonably priced and outstanding choices to match the courses. The service was 10 stars out of 5. Self parking with validation (free) was very easy and a bonus for downtown. Will definitely want to go back again any time!

   Very great interior, warm wood everywhere and it has a very professional and intimate feel. Lovely art along the walls and handsome furniture. Service was all very professional, the staff were patient as we asked questions and moved from the bar to our seats. Food was very good with a wide symptom of tastes and flavors. Beef is definitely the choice here but they had a market fish that was very tasty with South Asian spices.

   Dinner before the theater. Valet parking, dropping off and pickup, was smooth. Service was prompt and attentive he offered wine tastings to help picking a wine with dinner. Food was cooked perfectly. We didn’t care for the sauce in the scallop starter. I mentioned it and they took them off the bill. Ambient noise was minimal. Definitely will be back

   This was our first time at Dawsons. We came during restaurant week where they had a prixe fix menu. There were two starters, entrees and desserts to choose from and my husband and I tried them all. The food was just okay. My shortrib wasn't exactly fall off the bone moist but the flavor was okay. My husband had the fish with beans and Indian spices and it was a little more bland than we expected. The octopus taco was tasty although the octupus was diced up pretty small so you couldn't really distinguish it from the other toppings. The duck confit was okay. The ambience was upscale but not all clientele were dressed "business casual". They kept the room a little chilly for my liking. The doors were opened up to the lobby of the Hyatt and it was a pretty chilly night. I had to keep my wool scarf on during dinner. I wanted to enjoy this meal but walked away disappointed. If we come again, we will try something off the regular menu which looked extensive.

   Our server Juan went above and beyond to make our experience great. We ordered from the dine downtown menu. Both appetizers were very good but the star was the duck pot pie. The short rib was great, However the market fish entree was lacking in flavor and very over cooked, the accompaniment was disjointed. The marquise was great, as were the croissant crostini that came with it. The Japanese style dessert was appreciated for being so out of the box but didn’t quit delivering. More crème anglais would have been nice and either the chestnut center or the sweet potato outside should have been a lighter fluffier consistency to balance each other out. The wine pairings were lovely and well curated.

    Service was excellent! Food was outstanding! We did Dine Downtown and everything was delicious. The wine pairing was also excellent! Would return!
