   Upon entering Deck, it felt very inviting. The views of Diamond Head in the distance was awesome. We had a party of 11 for Christmas breakfast at 8:30am. The first issue was how long it took to take our order. The restaurant was not busy, however, it seemed like our waiter was preoccupied. When we finally finished ordering, my four year old wanted a hot chocolate. It took quite a while for the waiter to return to check on us. When I told him she wanted to order a hot chocolate, his reply was that they have it but it might take a while to receive it. I felt he was almost discouraging me from ordering it. The restaurant still wasn’t full at this point and despite whatever reluctance he had with us ordering the beverage to begin with it didn’t not take an absorbent amount of time to receive it. When our food came out, there was chaos. Although most of our meals were similarly, there should have been a delivery order within the wait staff to indicate who had what meal/preparation. My daughter’s kids meal was delivered to an adult who began to eat her food. When my daughter and brother’s meals didn’t come, we began to inquire at the table. My meal was cold and my eggs were not prepared as I had asked. When the kid/adult meal mix up was discovered, we were actually asked if my daughter would accept the plate that was already being consumed by another family member. I promptly declined and requested that she be brought a fresh meal. The waitress, Chloe, was apologetic for our experience and seemed to try to make things better by rushing our order. She also appeared to be wearing several hats as she was push dish carts, busing tables, running food taking order, and what appear as every duty as assigned. It seemed as though the other wait staff didn’t share her since of urgency. I attempted to order a side of sausage that never came. I would have given the food a better rating, if it wasn’t cold. The restaurant concept and menu was great however but poorly executed.

   The morning sun was beautiful. We enjoyed coffee, toasts and eggs with wonderful scenery.

   Very relaxing Christmas Eve dinner at the Deck overlooking Diamond Head. The food was very good and excellent service. Casual and comfortable dining. Will go back again.

   Staff a little difficult to deal with, seems to be unwilling to meet us. Reasonable food, nothing too much. The food service times rushed. Overall a strange experience. I would not repeat.

   Typical of most places with an excellent view - the food was simply ok. Salad was over dressed and waitress had too many tables

   Our waiter Adrian was terrific. I will always appreciate the fact the management helped me out with a large group on Christmas Eve. It meant the world to our family reunion.

    Appetizers were great! Entrees were lukewarm but we had a big group so it was to be expected. Food came out quickly. Service was good. View was awesome. But the pigeons were a nuisance. They attacked a table next to us as soon as the party left and were quite vicious. They need to be controlled for a better dining experience.
