   My daughter and I came here today on Christmas day and our experience was amazing! Dena was our server and she was awesome, the food was great and the ambience was perfect. We sat upstairs and overlook downtown Fort Worth and the Christmas tree, it just honestly could not have been a better experience. We will make this our annual tradition to come back every year.

   Usually can depend on Del Friscos Grille to be consistent but the last few times we have been have been mediocre.

   Our experience was on Christmas Eve so I feel there is a level of understanding of things not being “perfect” on a holiday. We appreciate all the staff being there so that we were able to dine out. We have been to Del Friscos Grille several times in the past and everything from food to service was always top notch. This time… not so much. Our service was HORRIBLE! Unfortunately that can ruin the entire experience and that is exactly the scenario here. We asked our server for our son’s soda multiple times. Our wine was finally brought to the table as our salads arrived. Once our entrees were served, the server never came back to check how our food tasted or if we needed anything, which we did, but had to go without. Then when we were all finished eating our server was NOWHERE to be found. Food sitting in front of you for extended periods is my biggest pet peeve. We had to ask the bartender for our check even though we all wanted a specific dessert but knew we’d be there for eternity if we dared asked for something else. So frustrating! Finally the server showed up with our check and I think realized how frustrated we were because he finally started to clear things off the table that had been sitting there the entire time. Any other time we’ve dined there, the manager has come to the table to ensure things were satisfactorily , but ironically that did not happen this time. Just not the level of service we’ve come to expect. I will say the food was great and it appeared that all the other staff were working hard.

   Usually love Del Frisco Grille but service was way off tonight. No specials read to us, very long wait for drinks, then appetizers. Ordered and was told no Steakhouse Salad for 2 of 8 guests when my husband saw some being delivered and they were still sending that cut of meat out. Food delivered very slowly with 4 sitting with meals and 4 without. Did speak with manager and they comped a few things. Also there was a horrible sewer smell between the kitchen and back dining area on the first floor. Not exactly the Christmas Eve Eve meal we had planned to enjoy. Staff up correctly and be ready with good service. We would have tipped generously had it been worthy. We had planned to enjoy a nice high end meal and did not receive one.

   Items we ordered never came with the meal and the entree my wife ordered was mixed with someone else’s order so steak was under cooked to her liking. Sent it back ti recook so experience was long.

   Our reservation was for 5:45. We were seated late. Waited 45 mins to get our drinks. We were late getting to our next event even though we allowed 1.5 hours to eat. We did not order appetizers or dessert & we only had a party of four. The table behind us had a similar situation. They complained to the manger. The manager was kind and apologized to them. As she walked away from the table she literally rolled her eyes. The experience was terrible. We won’t be back.

   We made reservations for 5:30 to celebrate a birthday. The reservation stated NOT to give the gentleman the bill. From the moment we walked in, it was a disaster. They stated a four hour wait but emphasized we made reservations. Our greet time was about 15 mins. Water was another 10 mins. Our server was non existent. The appetizers came out slow and then our order was taken very late after the apps. We sat and sat and watched as other tables were seated after us and left before us. The table behind us complained it took 45 mins. to get their drinks and now they were late for their event. We kept asking for our server or the manager. Even another server commented on our empty glasses. Once the manager came by, it was obvious they were understaffed because she was bartending. She blamed Bass Hall event which I quickly said that is a poor excuse. The server seemed to have tables all over the restaurant and not in a specific section. The extra setups s and menus were not removed, and we asked for to go box and had to ask multiple times. In my experience, Bass Hall has been around a lot longer than their establishment and restaurants are on notice to be prepared. It was the biggest debacle. They brought our dinner which was less than fine dining experience should be. Once the check was presented.. They gave it to the birthday person!! That was just about the final straw. Yes they comped our meals but that was not going to replace the memory for the worse dining experience. ever. For a fine dining establishment leadership and training was not present. Lesson is: If you're going downtown to dine, make sure it's not on a Bass Hall event night??

   Had Kassandra as our server outside she was fantastic! Will be asking for her next time I’m here! Great food! Great service!
