   I have always loved the inspired, modern take on Middle Eastern cuisine that Delbar offers. However, it was not to be on our visit this time. We arrived with reservations on Saturday at noon, and immediately our experience started off on the wrong foot. Their parking lot, which has nearly 100 parking spots, is valet only - even though the lot was mostly empty. Why should I have to hand over the keys to my vehicle to a valet just so they can park my car 20 feet away? The whole concept of valeting a vehicle is supposed to be a convenience for a restaurant's guests. This is the opposite. Then, of course, the guest feels compelled to give a tip to the valet for a "service" that was not needed... even worse, is decidedly inconvenient. Valet may make sense in the city where parking space is at a premium, but it makes absolutely no sense here. Since we declined the valet, we were asked to park offsite, which we did. Once inside the restaurant, we checked in with the host, reported our reservation time, and waited to be seated. The host was not particularly friendly. She seemed irritated to be there. In all fairness, after the whole valet thing, we were a bit irritated to be there too. Once we sat at our table, we were ignored for several minutes, even though they weren't busy. That was the last straw - we got up and left and found somewhere else nearby to eat lunch.

   Always enjoy Delbar. I always go to this specific location because it is spacious and clean. The interior is so beautiful. We always receive excellent service here. The food was amazing as usual but I tried the pistachio lava cake for the first time and it was honestly one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Must Try!

   We had a wonderful meal with our family of five! We had appetizers—hummus (mushroom) & falafel plate.

   The food and atmosphere at the restaurant were decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. To make matters worse, they have a strict policy of only allowing one bill per table, which must be split evenly among everyone. This approach was completely unacceptable and put a damper on the entire experience. Won’t be recommending. Rumi’s in Alpharetta 1000 times better.

   Atmosphere was organic and upscale, the cocktails and wines were plentiful and flavorful, and the food was quality, flavorful, and cooked well. The hostesses were not as friendly as I would have liked, but the bartenders and our server (Salih O) were attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. Overall, we had a great experience.

    Overall good. I didn’t love that they combined all our entrees to one giant platter. Would’ve liked to see how the entrees came out on their own. Service was good. Although we never got a requested hummus.
