   The food is delicious. Beautiful decor a lovely place for a date night or out with friends. The music volume is often too high.

   In spite of having an advance reservation, we were crammed in an awkward table next to the door, and told that the other empty two-tops were reserved for other people who had apparently figured out the secret way to secure decent tables. The menus were online only but the website is not optimized for the phone so it was quite difficult to read, and nonsensically organized into weird categories, with small plates mysteriously costing the same as large plates. There is a long N/A drink menu that ascribes personalities to various juice blends instead of simply telling you what it is in them. The restaurant was so loud the server couldn’t hear us and we had to repeat our order several times. The server was rushed and clinical. The food came instantly after we ordered, and they were “out of” tea so the bill hit the table instantly when we said we didn’t want dessert. The food itself was fine, other than the excellent naan it didn’t elevate itself beyond takeout fare. In total we were there for 42 minutes on what was supposed to be a nice dinner on a Saturday night. This restaurant is in love with itself and needs to trade in some of its trendiness for basic customer service.

   We got to the restaurant around 15 minutes early because of its policy about being late and holding our credit card. I'm not sure why this policy that require patrons to secure their reservations with a credit card, etc., is in place. It is a novelty to me that makes me a bit uncomfortable. The waitstaff was efficient. A waitperson answered my question about recommendations as my family was not sure what they wanted to order. They loved their chickpea app. and goat curry. My husband said that he loved the combination of flavors -- his palate had not experienced these before. My Mapo Tofu was scrumptious. Tangy, spicy and reminiscent of the Mapo Tofu dishes I have ordered at Chinese restaurants. But lighter, less greasy. My tofu was firmer than the silken tofu restaurants use with this dish. The creamy tomato sauce that smothered my Branzino/Sea Bass fish fillet was delicious. The mash-up of South Asian and Southeast Asian spices/flavors produces excellent results.

   We were excited to try this spot, but it started off a bit frustrating with a 15 min delay to get our tables. There’s also no waiting area so very soon there was a large crowd waiting for tables. We ended up going to a store to kill time, but in this freezing weather, it wasn’t ideal. The staff was kind enough though, so not really their fault but I wish they had a waiting area. As for the food, it was quite good. We ordered the mapo tofu, the Bombay style pizza & the jackfruit kofta with garlic naan. I liked them all, but the jackfruit kofta was really tasty. Definitely was nervous about that one. Their menu is so expansive, there’s something for everyone. Tons of options, so we’ll definitely be back to try more/ The menu said an 18% gratuity was going to be added to all the bills, but that didn’t happen to us! Maybe just for larger groups? Idk. I’ll be back for sure! :)
