   Had set lunch which was with excellent food and service. Will book again for afternoon tea later in the year for another birthday celebration

   I booked to go to the Centurion two weeks ago as I thought it was a up market restaurant. On arrival, I found the lighting going down the stairs very dangerous ,on entering, I was greeted by very pleasant young lady who took my coat. On entering to have pre-drinks, I heard a terrible screeching that was a child. This was 7:30 In the evening, the child was left to run riot running around the restaurant. I did not want to complain as it was my partner 70th Birthday and this was a birthday present for him and I just did not want to spoil it. I would’ve thought the head waiter would’ve gone up to the parents and asked them in a polite manner to keep the child from running around and screeching. I would’ve thought children wouldn’t be allowed in the restaurant after 6:30. I paid a lot of money to come to this restaurant. What I thought had a high standard, but my whole evening was ruined from the time I walked in till the time I left as I was so stressed . Only leaving the car park also there was no signs showing where to exit to the main road. The whole experience was a nightmare and I spent £200 for a terrible experience.

   We often dine at The Centurion and saw they were holding Jazz nights, so decided to book. The menu is always lovely, good choices for all and the food was, as usual, excellent. Service was a little hit and miss, we were without water for a long time and were waiting ages to order dessert, it was difficult to catch anyone's eye as they were so busy. The restaurant was lively and had a great atmosphere, mainly due to the Jazz singer, who had a beautiful voice, although I would query it being Jazz, it was really a compilation of popular music which she sang well, but if you're going for a Jazz night you may be a little disappointed. All in all a great night, excellent food and the music definitely added to the evening, we will go again.

   We had a lovely evening at Jazz at the Centurion. I chose from a very reasonably priced fixed price menu, the food was delicious, the service was excellent with lovely singing by the jazz artist.

   Fantastic roast dinner with all the trimmings. We are so much!!!! Great wine selection too.

   We had Sunday lunch at Centurian fantastic food with great service, the dining room has a nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and professional. The three course Sunday lunch is great quality and good value for money.

    This is always a lovely stylish restaurant to visit. Lovely on Valentines night not to have a restricted menu or be told we want your table back in 90minutes which happens elsewhere. Starters of scallops and ham hock were delicious. Mains of steak and duck were very generous. I couldn’t finish the duck , perhaps would have liked another vegetable on the plate. Desserts again, Large! Nice to have the addition of a live singer too.
