You won't find finer Japanese "fine dining" cuisine in Austin. We selected the Omakase experience and each course was simply wonderful. Sake paring is definitely worth the price and a great education if you know little about sake. Service was exceptional as well. No question, this will quickly become a place in which I spend way too much time. Highly recommended.

Shabu shabu is essentially cooking meat/seafood/veg in boiling or near boiling water, then dipping into various sauces. The food is very fresh here, the portions quite generous, and it is a good value for a luxury meal! Very fun vibe and a great date, or social experience. You can learn a lot about the people with you.

This chef experience tapped into our adventurous side and quenched our desire for many different flavors all in one sitting. Very authentic Japanese and the A5 and duck were pure bliss in my mouth. Highly recommend.

Definitely an elevated shabu-shabu experience. Our server was great and I loved his recommendations. The host table is outside and while you wait you can order drinks. The seats are comfortable and cool. Drinks & food were amazing. I can’t pick a favorite

I’ve been to DipDip…30 times…at least, since it opened five or six years ago; it is one of my staple Austin restaurants! The recent streamlined menu change was an adjustment for an OG, but they carefully replaced each of my beloved items with a more flavorful and easier to eat equivalent. The shabu shabu is such a great experience and conversational piece for any newbies or dates. Service is top notch and the cocktail menu is always evolving. My friends that love Saki love their selection, and I’m a huge fan of the wines by the glass list.
