    The food was just ok. The service, however, was excellent! Our waiter, Jmari was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. I ordered the fried chicken dish, my friend had the shrimp and grits... both lacked flavor.

    Party of 4 for my birthday. Very slow with first cocktails and not exactly accurate mixology either. Server very, very attentive and obviously has experience. Given that this visit to Dogwood was on the third day of opening, one would not expect perfection. Food was great. Just the right number of things on the menu and high-quality options. Easy in and out at entrance to Westin for drop off or use valet parking.

    Love the new Dogwood! The Jon Dressler hospitality you love in a beautiful, bright space. The tall ceilings make for great acoustics - you feel the energy of the room but you can speak in a normal voice and hear just fine at your own table. Delicious food and drinks well- executed and crisp, friendly service. Dogwood X Westin is a home run!

    We had a fabulous lunch at Dogwood. The fried oysters were a hit as was the key lime pie. Can’t wait to come back and try out the dinner menu!

    We visited on a pre-opening preview night, so a few glitches and shortcomings were to be expected. Overall our experience was very good, and knowing the Rare Roots team in charge, this is going to be an excellent dining choice in Charlotte. Our server was a little slow, I think because they were getting into the rhythm. Bar staff was learning the specialty ingredients in many of the signature items. Overall, the staff is friendly and professional from the hostess to servers to the food runners. Drinks and food were excellent and many of the Rare Roots All Stars were on hand to meet and greet the guests. The 16 oz Ribeye and was done to perfection, the Catfish was perfectly prepared with a delicate corn meal coating. Hand cut fries and Mac & Cheese? Duh! Go! It will be great.

    Food and service were excellent. The Carolina catfish, Pimento cheese arancini and the duck and dumplings are for sure a go to. Collard greens were also amazing. I will be back.
