Welcome to Donovans - our ‘house on the beach’ and home we love to share. Donovans is located on the St.Kilda beach front offering guests a memorable dining experience in Melbourne. With a bay side view, beautiful Mediterranean inspired food and the special relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant, Donovans is where you will feel at home.

Donovans’ exciting menu has been developed our intimate knowledge of modern Mediterranean cooking. The menu is extensive with a modern mix of favourite dishes emphasising the best local produce.     Our dining experience at Donovan’s was terrific. We had a choice table by the window. The restaurant is lovely and the waitstaff were exceptional. My vegetarian pasta dish with truffle oil, asparagus and flat beans was delicious and I would definitely order it again. The apple tart was very tasty - a great twist on an apple dessert. A fine dining experience all around. There is a surcharge on Sundays.

    Although being on the pricier end of the spectrum, it is worth a visit to Donovans. The service is excellent, my GF requirements were effortlessly catered for and the food was delicious. Shout out to Lucy for making our evening extra special.

    Beautiful evening at Donovan’s. Unbeatable location & great service. Food was very good but not excellent. Chairs were uncomfortable! Lovely to sit on the couches for another drink & a chat after dinner without feeling rushed by the next sitting at our table

    Donovan’s continues to maintain the highest level of food quality and service. Each dish sings with flavour and you really do want to make each mouthful last. Fresh takes on traditional cocktails make them a unique taste sensation and great wines enhance the food selection. Today we had dessert and coffee on the terrace which further enhanced the dining experience. Our waiter, Oliver, was a charming and knowledgeable member of staff offering professional but warm and relaxed service. He definitely added to the experience. I think Donovan’s continues to deserve its place in the upper echelons of Melbournes fine dining scene.

    Remains a beautiful space to spend time. Whilst the food doesn’t try to push any boundaries and is perhaps a little underwhelming, it’s still good. The service was outstanding, which ensured we had a really lovely experience.
