    We enjoyed really delicious food at Donovan’s - we loved the specials, particularly the anchovies and kingfish crudo. The service was excellent, our waiter was super friendly and very attentive and our water was always topped up. I’d definitely recommend dining here, although the only challenge was that we were seated by the window facing the sun and it was uncomfortably warm as the lightweight blinds gave little shelter from the heat!

    We had a beautiful anniversary dinner at Donovan’s last night. It’s a bit if a financial splash but absolutely worth it for the quality of food, service, atmosphere and the wonderful ocean view. The Sticky Date Soufflé was the cherry on top. Please don’t take it off the menu ever. :)

    Even though we've been to Donovans plenty of times and had wonderful experiences - this last time was not great. Seated at the table in the little alcove at 6pm, early January was very hot even though the blind was down. I tried to open one of the doors on the side to allow some fresh cool air and was chastised by staff member. The chicken pie had hardly any vegetables, was too salty, too liquid and 'flat' in taste...the crust was seperate to the contents - so I'd say not really a pie. The cos lettuce salad was crispy, fresh and delicious.

    Asked to move because of too many people passing the table. Said no but there remained another empty table close by. Not much vegan course on the menu. The chips are very bad.

    I haven’t had the pleasure of returning to Donovan’s in so many years and this year we decided that it would be the perfect place to experience this beautiful establishment on New Years Eve. Just like I remembered it to be, it was positively delightful. The food is outstanding, the staff are just divine and the atmosphere is simply wonderful. Thank you so much to the team at Donovan’s.

    Enjoyed lunch today, great table looking 👀 out over the bay. The service was friendly and attentive, and our meals were delicious overall. The barramundi disappointing, lacked seasoning and sauce a bit watery. Everything else was memorable.
