I expect a certain level of finesse when it comes to Open Table options. This was a glorified IHOP. The menu on-line looks fine, but the physical menu is plastic covered pages just like IHOP or other typical Greek-owned Chicago area restaurants. Had to ask waitress multiple times for each item we needed (silverware, water, more dressing). Pay at the front kind of place. Disappointed that Open Table had this on their list. And surprised that this reservation came through as having attended because when we arrived, they had no notion we were coming.

They went out of their way to accommodate us despite the fact that they were not aware of our reservation.

Food was goos and very reasonable prices!! Waitress seemed to take her precious time just to start us off with drinks. Other than that I would recommend.

The breakfast side of the menu was great and the lunch side also satisfies doubly. I guess that would be a double-double. Our party was impressed by our first visit and took advantage to ask for extra time so we could catch up for a minute or two and take in the offerings. I did vouch that all of the menu foods seemed to be quite good and properly prepared (my Dutch Baby the exception due to presence of spices in the batter on this AM visit). Our orders taken were prepared quite rapidly, from scratch, so though we were expecting a slightly longer wait period, we became hungrier once the food was on table and simply dug in with gusto. Soup & sandwich is an excellent choice and the barley beef soup done very well. Each of the sandwiches were quite exactly correct and beyond any frou-frou approach towards food, this is what makes me happiest. Quality ingredients prepared and presented correctly is so satisfying. We were each very satisfied with our visit and plan on more in the future. Hope this helps.

I approached reservations cautiously as some places promised the moon and woefully undeserved even modest expectations. Very happily this was the golden exception. This breakfast-lunch restaurant deserves much praise and steady to booming business. Of course, it is expected that it will be more crowded and harder to have a seat when wanted. Thus standing in line with family in a wheelchair may put us on the pass list eventually but until then we will very much enjoy the food & services here. I noted that it was exceptionally c lean with no residues or "sanitized" smells from any part of the restaurant. Cutlery was spotless with glasses, plates & bowls perfectly clean. Lavazza coffee was terrific as always. Servers were knowledgeable and quite accommodating. The food quality was exceptional down to the last point of the preparation and presentation. (I must point out to having had over 27 successful years in the fine dining commercial field.) The only glitch was my Dutch baby pancake was prepared using the German apple pancake batter. By tradition the first is not supposed to contain spices (like nutmeg or cinnamon) where the second does. So, though my state buds were prepared for the correct batter, I adjusted and enjoyed the Apple pancake batter without the apples. Otherwise it was a great experience likely to repeat a lot. Hope this was a bit helpful to some and confirmation for others.

The Double Yolk is a great restaurant in the Aurora area for breakfast/lunch. Prices are good and discounts are available.

The Double Yolk is a great restaurant and is inexpensive. I had the pancakes and they were great. They also have a nice selection of sandwiches in addition to being a pancake house as such.
