Douglas Avenue Diner is Racine’s meeting place. Racine comes alive each morning at 7AM, when the doors of the diner open and customers mosey in for a cup of coffee, all day breakfast or lunch to catch up with one another. I mean, it wasn't horrible. If I didn't reserve the table it definitely would not have been worth the wait. The food was just ok. Average price. The waitress was not very interested in getting a good tip. Especially because I told her it was our first time. 2 people from Ohio and 3 people that drove an hour the atmosphere was loud,it was jam-packed by the door. I will however still try there Friday fish fry

We love the diner and have been there many times. We like being able to reserve a table online in advance to avoid a long wait. My only suggestion would be to make the music louder. It’s a 50’s diner and you can barely hear the music.

Went to a 60’s Diner and they were out of ice cream, so no shakes or sodas, and out of lemonade. It was only 1pm....... Food was OK. Nothing to write home about.

The entree came a little too quick (still working on the soup), so the hot turkey sandwich & potato was only warm. I asked for it to be heated up & it was done quickly. Thank you.
