My (our) experience at the Downtowner Woodfire Grille was exceptional from start to finish. The warm reception upon arrival set the tone for a fantastic evening. Our server was both attentive and fun, enhancing the overall experience. The food was outstanding—expertly prepared, made with quality ingredients, and cooked exactly to order. The ambiance was equally impressive, with a cozy fire and live keyboard music creating a beautiful, welcoming vibe. It was the perfect setting to celebrate a milestone birthday with a dear friend. Having visited many times before, I will absolutely continue to return and introduce others to this gem. Plus, their dedicated parking lot in the heart of the city is a major convenience!

We are from out of town in St. Paul for a weekend getaway for our 10 year anniversary. We went for dinner Saturday night and everything was amazing! The staff/service was phenomenal as well. Very knowledgeable and personable. We had such an amazing evening that we came back for breakfast the next morning! Would definitely recommend! They will take great care of you!

One of the best dining values in all of the metro area. Very good food, friendly efficient staff at very reasonable prices. Given the opportunity, always order the halibut.

Went for lunch after looking at online lunch menu to only find out that on Saturdays & Sundays you can only order off the dinner menu. What a huge disappointment. This needs to be disclosed on the website! We went there for lunch not dinner! 😠

We loved the ambience and felt like family from the moment we walked in. Heidi was amazing. She made us feel welcome and was cheerful and friendly. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and attentive throughout the meal. We’ll be back!

We love the downtowner and our experience last evening was top notch as usual. The food was delicious and Trisha provided us with excellent service. The only challenge at Downtowner is choosing what to order as we really enjoy so many dishes. We had pizza this trip and it was delicious as usual. Keep up the great work staff!
