Really quite disappointed with the Sunday Roast, considering it had been listed as in the top ten in Manchester. The roast potatoes weren't cooked, they were actually chewy like theyd been cooked the day before then reheated. The cheese in the cauliflower was like a provelone so very stringy then hard once cool, and not creamy at all. The gravy was just basic granules. We weren't offered any condiments or asked why so much food was left uneaten, we politely explained and were told the chef would be imformed. The best part of the Sunday Roast was dessert.. Both the crumble and sticky toffee pudding were delicious so at least we didnt leave hungry. The atmosphere was flat and the venue virtually empty, which was fortunate as our booking via Opentable hadn't been registered in their system.

Thank you Andie for your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear that our Sunday Roast didn’t meet your expectations, especially given the high standards we aim for. Your comments about the roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, and gravy are concerning, and we’ll address these with our kitchen team immediately. We’re glad you enjoyed the desserts and appreciate you highlighting those. We also regret the issue with your booking and the lack of atmosphere during your visit. These are areas we’ll work on to improve. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the chance to provide a much better experience in the future.

The veggie / vegan pie was lovely, good portions, and the cabbage was 10/10. Yorkshire’s were over done and potato’s were bland, the hummus was just inedible sadly. The male waiter was brilliant, the rest of the team lacked hospitality
Ducie Street WarehouseResponded 1 day ago
Thank you for your feedback Kay! We’re glad you enjoyed the veggie/vegan pie and cabbage, but we’re sorry the Yorkshire puddings, potatoes, and hummus didn’t hit the mark. It’s great to hear your waiter provided excellent service, though we’ll address the team-wide hospitality to ensure consistency. We appreciate your comments and hope to welcome you back for an improved experience soon!

The restaurant space was closed, but that was not informed in my booking. We sat at the bar, which is a lovely space. Menu have changed since my last visited; they used to serve haute cuisine and now they only have bar food, which is not good. The Manchester Mule was delicious, though. I'd return for drinks but not for food.
Ducie Street WarehouseResponded 1 day ago
Thank you for your feedback Luan. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the restaurant being closed during your visit. Our restaurant is closed on Mondays, but our bar remains open. We’re glad you enjoyed the Manchester Mule and the bar ambiance! While our menu has changed to better suit the bar setting, we appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration. We hope to welcome you back soon for drinks and a great experience.

Food was awful, roasties were hard, broccoli distasteful, beef dry and bland, waiter took our order and never seen her until asked someone else for the bill and the waiter re appeared and included service charge. £65 all in and when I wanted to talk to someone no one around and just stop caring at this point and left. Definitely won’t be back

Unfortunately there was an issue with the food I ordered and the burger came with the wrong sauce however the girl serving us was absolutely lovely about the situation and happily resolved it. I would definitely go back based on the service we received (it was the Aussie girl) x

Thank you for your feedback Lauren! We’re truly sorry about the mix-up with your burger but are delighted to hear that our team member quickly made it right for you. We'll pass along your kind words to her – she’ll be thrilled! We’re glad you enjoyed the service, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon for an even smoother experience. Thanks again for sharing!

We ate at 5:30pm. We were the last cover of the day, and you could tell. The server couldn't wait to get us out of there. Asking during our mains 'are you going to be having a dessert so I can let the kitchen know if they can close down or not'. The food was sub par- very salty! A strange portion size disparity too - if you had one of the 2 chicken roasts left you were given a half chicken on the bone towered up on top of your food, almost impossible to manoeuver around the plate to debone it. If you had the beef you have a few thin slices of tough beef. Overall a very poor meal and experience. Wouldn't recommend.
Ducie Street WarehouseResponded on November 6, 2024
Hi Chris Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m very sorry to hear about your recent experience with us – it’s disappointing to know we missed the mark on several fronts. We strive to provide attentive and welcoming service at all times, regardless of the hour, so I apologise if you felt rushed. I'll be sure to look into this with the team. I'm also sorry to hear that the meal itself didn’t meet your expectations. Y. We’re reviewing our recipes and plating to ensure every dish we serve feels balanced and enjoyable. Thank you again for bringing these details to our attention, and if you’d consider giving us another try, we’d love the chance to provide a better experience.

Fantastic Food full of flavour. We like to keep tabs of our Sunday Lunches with a little post meal review and the whole family raved about who tasty the food was. The Beef was excellent and the Chicken very well cooked and plentiful. Tasty Trimmings too with Giant Yorkshires! Lovely venue and ambience. Highly reccomended.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review Martin! We’re thrilled to hear that your whole family enjoyed our Sunday lunch, from the flavorful beef and chicken to the trimmings and Yorkshires. It’s fantastic to know the meal and atmosphere hit the mark for you. We hope to welcome you and your family back soon for another memorable Sunday lunch!

Food was good, service was really lacking. No one asked if we wanted more drinks when the wine had finished, had to ask to have our plates cleared once finished dining after waiting for over 10 mins, asked for the bill and still left our dessert plates in front of us, no offer of coffee etc. Would have shared this in person when paying but no wasn’t asked how our experience was just how we wanted to split the bill. Felt very much like the servers just wanted to get their shift over and done with. Overall just really poor which was a shame as food and setting was nice.
Ducie Street WarehouseResponded on October 25, 2024
Thank you for your feedback Philippa. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the food and setting, but we sincerely apologise for the shortcomings in service during your visit. It's disappointing to know that our staff didn't provide the attentive service we strive for, particularly regarding drink refills and clearing your plates. Your experience is not reflective of our usual standards, and we will address these issues with our team to ensure we improve moving forward. We appreciate your comments and hope you might consider giving us another chance to provide a better experience in the future.
