   Great spot for the occasional splurge. Everything was extremely well prepared and delicious. A minor complaint that the bread and butter for the table was bland. The tuna 'Cru' was above average. The steak was true to request, and the béarnaise was lick-your-plate good. The green beans were perfect ... which seems an odd thing to be memorable about, but they were just spot on. Table service was excellent, and the sommelier was helpful without being intrusive. Overall a great dinner experience, which was reflected in a rather hefty bill ... yet, I hope to return soon.

   Beautiful decor. But round booths are out of scale and oddly designed for 4. One person has to sit in chair and constantly had to move to let wait staff get in. When they serve neighboring booth they lean and have their butt right in your conversation. The cocktail menu is limiting but all priced at $18 for their specialty ones. I ordered a French 75. A standard drink in the world of cocktails. Thinking it would be same or maybe less. Did not ask for any level in particular and they charged me $27 for it. A bottle of the gin used is $29 on line. I did a quick search as I was floored. Food was good but with these other discouragements we probably will not be back. Be aware of price gouging if they have opportunity.

   East End Bistrot did not disappoint us New Year’s Eve and our first visit!All we have is praise for the staff, cocktails and the food. We will definitely be back.

   The food and service was spectacular!! Our cocktails were also amazing. This place is definitely a unique spot for Raleigh and a wonderful edition to the area. Looking forward to returning!

   Atmosphere and service was amazing! Food was ok and that’s really all we can say. Dessert came as a frozen block. By the way, my ok on dinner has nothing to do with dessert. I think overall missing on flavor.

   Champignon soup en croute was fantastic, can tell a lot of work went into it with the brunoise vegetables in the broth, which was almost a consommé, delicate and very flavorful. The burger was excellent, cooked perfectly to the requested temp. Could not taste any duck fat aoili over the caramelized onions and the Point Reyes Bleu. The bun (brioche?) did not hold up to the large burger (maybe that's a good thing). Service was also excellent. The bartender asked me to try to reds when I requested one to go with the soup, and his choice was superior. Handled deftly. Finally, when it was time to cash out, the beverage director took care of me because he could see the bartender was very busy filling out several drink order from new customers. That alone is valuable. Would highly recommend!
