    I know it’s the holidays, but we got our food before our apps. We were told to put our order in all at once but now don’t see the point of that. I hope the food place gets better because we love Eataly. The employees were very nice.

    Was disappointed with dinner as the service was very poor and waiter didn’t know the menu at all. I ordered a cola and was told they only have grapefruit and blood orange and that’s it. Most of the food was only so so. The pizza was great and the apps but the pasta dishes had no flavor and were expensive for what you got. Half of the food came and then 5 minutes later the other half came and this was after waiting quite some time. No one came around to see if we wanted cheese or paper or even ask how all was. Had to flag down a waiter as bouts disappeared asking for the bill. The place was pretty empty so surprised by all as I have been to the one in the City and would have never known this was the same.

    The waiters are new and inexperienced. They should be trained longer. There bread which you pay for as an appetizer is so hard you’ll break your teeth. The main dish was cold; however, the pizza was hot and good. They also need to have people cleaning the tables and area up front where they sell the to go food. Need some improvement.

    Second visit since it opened. Food was excellent and the service has greatly improved from the first week it opened. It was a great experience

    Wait a few months for them to work out the kinks. Service was slow, food not brought out together, they had run out of seltzer water. Food was just ok. For the price it was not a great experience. They recognized at the end that the service had not been good and apologized, noting that they had just recently opened. Not sure if we would go back. I've had lots better Italian food in the area.

    I hope items just opening bumps, but what an awful experience. We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated early. My son and I ordered the cacio e pepe which was good if not a super small portion. My husband ordered a pizza. The pasta arrived and we waited until my husband’s pizza arrived, which after a few minutes he told us to start without him. And by the time we finished, his pizza still hadn’t arrived. Unfortunately we saw his pizza delivered to someone at the bar who had just sat and ordered. Meanwhile, it’s now 8:30 and we had to flag down a random server to ask where the pizza was, he returned to the table and said they were just finishing it. At 9, I asked for a manager and explained the situation, he actually asked if we still wanted the pizza - really?? 9:15 the pizza arrived and was not fully cooked in the center. Needless to say, we’re going to wait a bit for our next visit.

    I would have rather ate the food off the line at the grab and go counter. The fresh pastas we poor- like extra salty and nothing special. The pizza was greasy and floppy. The meatballs were very good but sauce left a lot to be desired and all the food came out luke warm. I will not sit down for food at this restaurant again.

    This Eataly location has only been open for about a week. While the food was delicious the service was very uneven. Our server was personable and really tried to do a good job but the electronic system she was required to use (I assume) as well as the division of labor among server, food runners & table clearing really needs to improve. The use of a tablet to take our order also gives the dining experience “an industrial feel” which is unlikely to improve even as the staff becomes more adept at using them. There were also a couple of management types wandering around checking on tables. Rather than talking for long periods to some customers they could have done much more to help staff get food to the tables quickly.

    True that the restaurant has just opened and they are working out the kinks. The restaurant was behind in seating people w reservations. We were told that if you buy a bottle of wine in the shop ( while waiting) we could drink it in the restaurant. We were surprised when seated, that there is a $25 corkage fee, $10 off the regular fee because the wine was bought there!! That is a high fee in general and especially if the wine was purchased there.
