Been here a few times in the past 3-4 months. This is a great outdoor spot. Beautiful view of the Marina. We had the fresh tuna nachos. Delicious! Unfortunately everything else was blah. Fish and chips: the fish was rubbery. The sourdough bread was cold in the inside and warm in the outside. Probably had been frozen. Crab chowder wasn’t as good as other times I’ve had there before.

The food was a bit expensive, but considering quality and location, it was great.Cappuccino machine wasn't working, which didn't matter that much, but server didn't offer up other alternatives. Outside of that server was friendly and attentive. The setting can't be beat!

The setting is Divine! The service was excellent! The heaters outside were perfect. This is the setting that makes memories. We enjoyed our time together here. I would simply say that west coast prices are just breathtakingly high and yet with all of my research Edgewater was the more affordable of everything else. They need some type of Happy Hour for sunsets in the Fall/Winter and at least on Friday, right? Maybe that’s where they make up the relatively lesser prices. But QC, Quality Control is needed. What are the odds, but a small sharp piece of glass fell off my husband’s drink! They replaced it but no effort to compensate. My mushroom risotto was really good but I got a couple bites of sand. That’s never happened before and as if that weren’t enough I am certain I pulled a hair from it but I convinced myself the cheese was stringy at the end of dinner, though nothing else was like that. I just let those go. But attention to such preparation details make the difference, yes?

The wait staff were great but the food was not. The oysters did not taste fresh and every one had pieces of shell inside it. The crab cakes tasted ok but the combo with chopped tomatoes was not complementary The seared scallops were covered in a sauce but otherwise were ok. The vegetables accompanying the scallops were so undercooked it was difficult to cut with a knife. Luckily raw carrots and cauliflower are good sources of fiber The last mistake was ordering the tiramisu which is advertised as containing mascarpone. It was definitely made with crème cheese rather than mascarpone, it tastes like a weird combo of cheesecake and ladyfingers All in all, despite the excellent service and beautiful view of the sea I won’t come back because the food was not good

The view was beautiful. The food was great but it was the staff that was truly phenomenal. Very kind and accommodating. I would choose it again.

The Eggs Benedict was very good. The Carne Asada egg dish was terrible. Very little bits of Asada that was over cooked. The potatoes were hard as if sitting in the warming tray too long. The eggs were cooked good. Service could been a bit more attentive and listen to the requests of the three patrons but hey. That's the way things are done I guess these days. The burgers looked really good.

Enjoyed a birthday dinner at Edgewater Grill. We arrived early but they were able to seat us right away at the type of table I had requested. We had a nice view of the sunset while waiting for our meal. Food was good and everyone enjoyed their meals.

Incredible amounts of food, especially at these prices. I think any of the entrees and appetizers we had would be sufficient for two. The beet salad, sea bass, and cauliflower portions were transported home for lunch and dinner today. We eat out several times a week and I would definitely recommend the Edgewater as a five star experience.

Edgewater is a dying breed here in Seaport. I think once Shorebird and others open it will have to update or be lost. Edgewater is very 80's, from the menu to the decor to the waitstaff. Nothing inspired on the menu, but the sourdough bread roll is def worth the $7 and the tomato basil soup is divine. Everything else is just OK....very pedantic, old school, basic. Nothing modern or fresh or inspired. It's a throw back that people either wander into because of its perfect proximity to bay views and sunsets or because of nostalgia for going there for generations. But with Seaport Village updating and bringing new restaurants with modern chefs, innovative menus and updated vibes, I think Edgewater will suffer. This go 'round our service was excellent though!
