Food and service were very good. A great alternative to the normal Breck food options. Casual and family friendly environment with high end food options.

Went with my 2 kids, had read a different review that boasted about the kids menu, so was pretty excited. I asked them to bring out the kids food whenever it was ready as they were hungry. They brought out my soup while my kids just sat hungry... then in a few minutes brought out the kids food with my main meal and I had barely had 1 spoonful of my food. I asked them to take my main meal back and keep it warm while I ate my soup. Don't they give a person time to eat the appetizer? My kids got the hamburger. The fries were the only good thing. 1 kid was ok with the hamburger, the other didn't. It was pretty plain - no lettuce, tomato or other toppings. Being that they are kids, the fancy bread it came on didn't sit well with them, so they ate the hamburger as just the meat. My meal - I ordered the squash soup, which had absolutely no flavor. And I usually love soup. I gave it back telling them there was no flavor and it was terrible. It took some time but I finally got their attention to get my main meal. I got the mushroom veggie meal. I really wanted the trout but there was bacon in it and they couldn't make it without. When it came out it looked like they emptied an entire can of chickpea garbanzo beans into the center and then quartered a turnip and chopped up some mushrooms. There was no flavor except for the mushrooms, which weren't bad - but there wasn't anything else. It was SO disappointing. I was really excited to try this restaurant as we are owners at Beaver Run and this is right across the street, but I don't think we will be returning.

We recently dined at Edwin Restaurant in Breckenridge during our annual ski trip, expecting a premier experience but were disappointed. Our server's description of the salmon special was vague (told us it was served with fingerling potatoes and other stuff), and the butternut squash soup arrived cold, with a microwave offered as a solution instead of a fresh bowl. Despite explicitly asking to delay our pizza order, it arrived early and undercooked. The ambiance was further disrupted by a loud conversation among staff in the dining room. While the Food & Beverage Director was accommodating with our reservations at The Canary, overall, we found the service and training at Edwin lacking, needing significant improvement to meet the high end experience that Hotel Alpenrock is working to provide.

I am always searching for places to eat that my 7 year old son and I both enjoy. The Edwin is the perfect place for both of us. I have a gluten intolerance and The Edwin had so many delicious choices for me, as well as a fun kids menu my son loved. He actually devoured the Brussels sprouts and the broccolini, so I was extremely happy with that. That staff was so nice and attentive we will definitely be coming back.

Our recent trip to Breckenridge brought us to Edwin, the restaurant nestled within the Alpenrock Hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough. Though we didn’t stay at the hotel itself, Edwin became our go-to dining spot, drawing us back three times during our visit - a testament to its charm and quality. The food was nothing short of delightful. Each dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Whether it was a hearty après-ski meal or a lighter bite, the menu delivered consistently satisfying options that felt both elevated and comforting - perfect for a mountain getaway. The kitchen clearly knows how to balance creativity with crowd-pleasing appeal. What made the experience even better was the service. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, striking that rare balance of warmth and professionalism. They seemed genuinely invested in making sure we enjoyed ourselves, offering recommendations and checking in just enough to keep things seamless. The space itself is worth mentioning too. Recently redone, the restaurant exudes a modern alpine vibe - cozy yet sophisticated, with a design that complements the snowy peaks outside. It’s the kind of place that feels special without trying too hard, whether you’re popping in after a day on the slopes or settling in for a proper dinner. If you’re in Breckenridge, Edwin at Alpenrock Hotel is a must visit.

Edwin is a true gem, offering a unique and cozy ambiance that feels both timeless and brand new. The thoughtfully designed space, with its elegant yet inviting furniture, creates an atmosphere that is perfect for any occasion. The service is exceptional—professional, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, making you feel at home from the moment you step in. The food is simply outstanding. We tried the steak, which was phenomenal—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and tender. The trout was equally impressive, showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. Each dish is presented with gourmet attention to detail, elevating the dining experience even further. Edwin is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable meal in a refined yet comfortable setting. Highly recommended!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Soda was flat, didn't refill our empty waters, food came out scattered, steak was extremely fatty and undercooked, my husbands meal never came and the server didn't even notice that he was sitting there without food waiting. When we alerted her, she said it would be five minutes and it was half an hour. The people sitting next to us asked for their check many many times and it took forever for them to get it and it wasn't even crowded at the time. Such a shame for such a beautiful space. The restaurant was in a hotel and when we entered I thought it would be a great place to stay so we could eat at the beautiful restaurant every night, but I would never ever go back there.

Dear Carolyn, We sincerely apologize for your disappointing experience at Edwin. It’s unacceptable that your meal was delayed, your husband’s dish was overlooked, and service did not meet even the most basic expectations. This is not the level of hospitality we strive for, and we take your feedback seriously. Your experience does not reflect the standard we aim to uphold, and we deeply regret that it impacted what should have been an enjoyable evening. If you would be open to it, we’d love the opportunity to make this right. Please reach out to us directly—we truly appreciate your feedback and hope to regain your trust in the future. Didn’t have a waitress or manager come up to us for 45 minutes. Not even water. We ended up just leaving. Then it took 40 minutes to get our car from the valet because the valet boxed in my car. Do NOT recommend. Completely ruined our “Valentines Dinner”

Our server, Jenni, was fantastic, the manager was extremely accommodating in every way, the atmosphere was beautiful, I hope one day to play some acoustic music in their bar area...so...to sum it up… It was a perfect Valentine's Day evening. I'm sorry that it took us so long being, Blue River locals, to find this place.

Spent 3hrs at a Valentine’s dinner. We ordered from the “couple’s 4-course menu,” assuming it would be a busy night for the staff—wanted to keep it simple and avoid delays from ordering off the main menu. Waited 15mins for drinks, 20mins for salads. Didn’t see our waitress for 20min periods. My appetizer came out at about 45mins. At the 1.5hr point, the manager said they ran out of pasta, apologized and offered us a second round of drinks. 10mins later my wife’s appetizer arrived. 20min later the entrees arrived. Food was good, not great. If it hadn’t been for the wonderful couple from Austin sitting next to us and great conversation, we would have walked out. Note to the manager: if you run out of something, tell the customer and offer an option, or just take it off the bill. A little communication much earlier would have gone so much farther than profuse apologies after the fact.

Dear Kent, Thank you for sharing your experience, and I sincerely apologize for the delays and lack of communication during your Valentine’s dinner. Special occasions should feel seamless and enjoyable, and it’s clear we missed the mark. While we’re glad you enjoyed the company of fellow guests, the long waits and lack of timely updates on your meal are not reflective of the hospitality we strive to provide. Your feedback is invaluable, and we are addressing these service breakdowns to ensure better communication and efficiency moving forward. We truly appreciate you dining with us and would love the opportunity to provide a much-improved experience in the future. Please feel free to reach out directly if you’d like to discuss this further. Best, Rob Duran Director of F&B
