When you arrive at the El Gaucho, you immediately feel at home.

A 'Welcome' at reception, a rustic ambience, a tasty steak, fresh salad and a good wine with friendly service - all this makes a stay in one of the most renowned restaurants in Cologne not only extremely pleasant, but also an unforgettable experience. The El Gaucho is the first and oldest Argentinian restaurant in Germany.
For more than 50 years in Cologne we have been preparing our guests real Argentinian sprue steaks on the open grill in the middle of our restaurant. Watch and enjoy our Argentinian specialties like the gauchos in the pampas.

    Garpunkte beu allen Gästen nicht erreicht. Steaks waren gut, aber nicht überragend. Daher nur 4 Sterne. Preis Leistung könnte besser sein.

    In jedweder Hinsicht top: Die Mitarbeiter, die ein gut eingespieltes festes Team bilden, sind aufmerksam, herzlich und serviceorientiert. Das hausgemachte Chimichurri, das vorm Essen zum Brot gereicht wird, ist so lecker, dass man sich allein davon gerne schon sattessen möchte und sich zwingen muss, aufzuhören, damit man das Hauptgericht noch schafft. Was sich mehr als lohnt: Qualitativ hochwertiges Fleisch, meisterhaft zubereitet. Alles perfekt, ich gehe dort regelmäßig mit Freunden essen, und alle sind begeistert und kommen gerne wieder.

    Die Steaks sind wirklich toll, das ist außer Diskussion. Die Pommes waren dagegen sehr trocken und der Spinat den wir bestellten, wenig angemacht. Aber was wir wirklich sehr schlecht fanden, war die Enge. Eine sehr dichte Bestuhlung. Wir waren zu zweit und saßen an einem winzigen Tisch. Wie alle die zu zweit waren. Das Ambiente lässt zu wünschen übrig. 130.- € für 2 kleine Steaks mit Pommes und Spinat und jeder 3 Softgetränke ist für so ein Ambiente sehr teuer. Es war mal schön ein anderes Steakhaus kennenzulernen, aber das war es auch.

    Como siempre la comida y el servicio muy bueno,, los precios un poco caro pero hoy en día donde quiera es así,, si quieres cenar bien tienes que aflojar el bolsillo 🤔☺️
