El Pinto is open for outdoor covered patio dining and indoor seating.

Open daily. Monday through Thursday from 11am-9pm. Friday & Saturday 11am-10pm. Sunday 10:30am-9pm.

Nestled in the cottonwoods, El Pinto was founded with 10 tables in 1962. Twin brothers John and Jim Thomas, carry on the family tradition and have expanded El Pinto into the quintessential "Spot" for healthy and fresh New Mexican cuisine. Experience an authentic Taste of New Mexico.

The Salsa Twins are pairing tradition with innovative healthy nutrition at El Pinto. El Pinto established the first and only Animal Welfare Approved laying hen program on property. 250 hens lay pasture raised eggs for daily use. An onsite green house produces over 5,000 lbs of organically grown greens.

Freshness is throughout El Pinto. El Pinto uses chile from Hatch, NM, pasture raised pork from Kyzer Farms, and local grass fed beef.

My family dined here on 12.29.24. First, we were led through 3 different dining areas, while my father in law was using a cane. Then we were sat at a table that could have been confused for a child's table at Thanksgiving, my husband hitting his knees as he sat. When we asked to move to a regular table it took 10 minutes to get someone's approval. Our service was slow, and that's being kind. We sat with nothing to drink for 20 minutes and had to ask 4 times to get refills on soda. 3 of 5 dishes were not made how they were ordered (mother in law asked for onions with her enchiladas, I asked for shredded beef and got ground, my husband asked for no garnish and got garnish which they tried to cover up with extra cheese). There were cobwebs in the bathroom (photo attached). At the end of it, the compensation was to not charge us for the shredded beef upcharge. And then they charge you a credit card convenience fee. Every single table. Unless you pay cash. Absolutely outrageous. For an upper scale restaurant to behave this way is abhorrent. Will not be back and will tell everyone I know of this experience. I would second guess dining here. In the comments is a photo of the cobwebs in the bathroom.

We waited a very long time for our food. Two nearby tables with equal number of guests received their food before we did? Our waitress was the only real positive of our experience. She did a very nice job!

Two of the smallest chile rellenos I have ever seen for 25.00. Literally appetizer size dish. I had heard things changed.
