El Pinto is open for outdoor covered patio dining and indoor seating.

Open daily. Monday through Thursday from 11am-9pm. Friday & Saturday 11am-10pm. Sunday 10:30am-9pm.

Nestled in the cottonwoods, El Pinto was founded with 10 tables in 1962. Twin brothers John and Jim Thomas, carry on the family tradition and have expanded El Pinto into the quintessential "Spot" for healthy and fresh New Mexican cuisine. Experience an authentic Taste of New Mexico.

The Salsa Twins are pairing tradition with innovative healthy nutrition at El Pinto. El Pinto established the first and only Animal Welfare Approved laying hen program on property. 250 hens lay pasture raised eggs for daily use. An onsite green house produces over 5,000 lbs of organically grown greens.

Freshness is throughout El Pinto. El Pinto uses chile from Hatch, NM, pasture raised pork from Kyzer Farms, and local grass fed beef.

Warm Tortilla chips, Salsa and Queso to start off with, then the Posole and Tamales and Sopapillas were great!

We had a large group with reservations for 5 PM on a Tuesday. New Mexico is going through an Arctic blast of extremely cold weather right now. I don't understand why we were seated in the farthest area where it was the coldest room? There are fireplaces but that doesn't heat the area enough and we were with elderly family members. The environment was far too cold to enjoy the meal. We asked to move closer to the fireplace which the servers accommodated...but it was colder in that location. We sat the elderly closest to the fire and offered our jackets to them. The server was fine. He always checked on us. He was also very friendly. The food was ho-hum. The beans were too dry. I think the food arrived to us cool because of the weather? Overall, this birthday dinner was ok but I think we'll opt for another place to celebrate especially if it's cold outside.

Had the Natchos that were great. Still not happy that they are still putting a convenience fee for credit card, when they have also increased prices.

Amazing place...uniquely New Mexican. Have always loved dining at El Pinto, but the food seems to have improved markedly from pervious dining experiences. our waitress was excellent too. Will be back, for sure!

My dad selected the bison burger with the gluten free bun and a baked potato, and I order the Chicken Salad with the organic greens and a baked potato. We both enjoyed sides of spicy green chili and tantalizing salsa. What a delicious meal we savored =D. Caleb, our server, did a perfect job to exceed all of our dining requests. Gigi, one of El Pinto's female chefs is so talented! El Pinto is five stars :-),

Our family loves El Pinto!! Dinner there this week was delicious and well-served. The roaring real-wood fire was delightful. We added one to our reservation at the last minute and that was perfectly accommodated. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!
