   Authentic Mexican food and amazing ocean views! It was spectacular from the food to our server to the views. Definitely a must try if you’re looking for more upscale moderate atmosphere and amazing Mexican food.

   Very busy. Waited 15 minutes past reservation time to be seated. Place was a dirty mess, food under table, dirty tables yet to be bussed. Staff was overwhelmed. (Not enough?) Took a long time for food to be delivered after ordering 40 min. That said, food was good, and prices were reasonable

   Waited forever to get our drinks. Then took a super long time to get our food…..they forgot my tortillas for my fajitas….took a long time to get the tortillas….then it was flour instead of the corn tortillas I had asked for….i just ate the flour tortillas. No apologies given for the long wait or missing items. The waitress did not smile at all or say much. On the plus side, the receptionist was really nice and cheerful and got us a window seat. The food was decent.

   I ate at El Torito at least 5-10 years ago when I came with my sister. We made a reservation a week prior and were taken right back as soon as we walked in and put next to a window facing the ocean as requested. Our waitress was good, came over immediately and took our drink orders and gave us time to chose our meals. What wasn’t great was the fact that when I got my meal the entree was not fresh and both beans and rice were ice cold. I ate some of my entree and tried to eat the others but just couldn’t. The restaurant was beautiful and my waitress was good, unfortunately I just could not have eaten the food if I tried.

   Wasn’t good but they were busy so maybe that has something to do with it but food was not good at all. Food looked like it had just been thrown on a plate and the taste was not good. Server was cool though. Not her fault the food is gross. If the server wasn’t cool this would be 1 star. Pretty view from our table. I’ll just get chipotle and eat it on the beach next time though.

    Great views of Monterey Bay. Easy parking - gated lot validated by check-in table, good Mexican food - we had bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer, fajitas and tacos. Too many chips and salsa. We will definitely be back.
