   What a disappointment!! There were 7 of us, we had a reservation and I specifically asked when I made it for our table to NOT be in the middle of the room. Not only did we get seated in the middle of the room but the table was directly across from the entrance!! It took an entire hour before our server came to take our food orders and then it took almost another hour for us to get our food. Most of the food was cold but was supposed to be hot. The shoestring fries were rock hard and cold, and the hash browns seemed like they had been re-fried one too many times - we couldn’t even get our forks through them! My tiny bagel with a small piece of smoked salmon was $27 (including the tip) which was way too much; not a good value for the money at all. The coffee was just ok, kind of cold, but passable. The grilled cheese was “good” but a very small portion on unremarkable bread. Overall, we were very underwhelmed and disappointed. The 7 of us decided we would not be eating there again especially due to our other bad experience at the pizza restaurant owned by the same people.

   There were eight of us for lunch. The food was exceptional. The service was over the top and we truly enjoyed ourselves and we got an opportunity to meet the chef and of course the owners thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon. Have a magical week. Patricia Watson

   We wanted this to be better… we were expecting cozier, more relaxed vibe. Looking for that fabulous brunch with the gals vibe and it just didn’t quite make it

   The waitstaff was friendly, efficient and fun; prices were more than fair; food was interesting and tasty. We had a rather large group that kept shrinking, and the business was charming about it.

   Delicious lunch with a friend! Great, friendly service and fresh, hot food on a cold day. Bright and inviting atmosphere with comfortable seating. Very much enjoyed our tasty brunch type selections of fish cakes with sides of delicious baked beans and chow, and an omlette for my friend.

   Eli's is a lovely place. This was my first time for dinner. It was a cold winter night, so not at all busy. The atmosphere was very inviting, and the waitress was just lovely. The three of us had pork belly, with rice, carrots and pickled onion. The presentation was attractive. The pork was tasty. The rice was served plain and was not hot, and the carrots were warmed not cooked. Even though I was a little disappointed, I will certainly try this restaurant again.

   I am local and was excited to see that Eli and Trix were advertising fish and chips. Unfortunately the fish was overcooked, fishy tasting for haddock and the batter was overly crunchy, had no flavour and had parts that seemed to be flour that wasn’t mixed into the batter. Our server didn’t check in with us to see if everything was ok. The waitress was loud and annoying while behind the bar and the manager appeared to be frustrated with her.

   Service was leisurely, which was ok as we were meeting friends to catch up & share brunch. Food was tasty and fresh. Like the casual atmosphere.

   Clean and flavourful food with a great ambiance to go along with it. Easily the best breakfast my wife and I have had along the South Shore. Highly recommend!

    Restaurant correct qui présente un menu qui tente d’être moderne, si on se fie à la palette de prix, mais qui ne réussis pas nécessairement à atteindre son but visé. J’estime que la qualité de la nourriture était bien mais les portions nettement trop petites en rapport au prix démesuré. Salade César servie dans l’équivalent d’une tasse de café à plus de 15$ est exagéré selon moi comme prix. Nous avons payé presque 200$ pour un repas à 2 qui ne valait pas plus que 80-100$ selon ce que nous avons consommé. Ma copine a commandé un repas principal à base de nouilles qui ne comportait aucune protéine ni sauce. Sûrement presque 30$ pour un plat de nouilles ne se justifie pas. Il reste encore bien des ajustements à faire dans ce commerce; cela explique peut-être qu’il n’y avait que 3 tables de convives en plein vendredi soir.
