It was about 95% empty on a Sunday at 11:00am for brunch. We ordered a bloody mary and it came without celery. The waiter had zero idea why we were asking for it and brought us sliced celery from the kitchen. Very over priced, we will not be back.

Ellies is a beautiful lounge/restaurant. My daughter enjoyed her Sweet 16th birthday. Unfortunately the food (lite bites) was good/not great (sliders were more bread than meat and the meat was cold and hard. Humus was bland. Corn fritters were cold and chewy) and service was (let's just say it started off good, but we were wondering if they forgot about us). When I started clearing and cleaning our table, 2 wait staff appeared and then took over. I had high(er) hopes because the event was pre planned. No one ever came over to check on us. I was also informed that they were doing me a favor (per Ashley) because they size of my party (20) should have been $2K, instead $1K. So needless to say, our first Ellie's experience was our last.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I want to sincerely apologize for the service delays and the overall experience you described—it’s clear that we did not meet the standards you rightly expected, nor those we hold ourselves to at Ellie’s. We would very much appreciate the opportunity to make this right. If you're open to it, please reach out to us directly—we’d love the chance to welcome you back for the kind of experience you should have had the first time. Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge

Had reservation for pre-Symphony dinner and traffic to town was horrible. After contacting Elli’s had new reservation and once there had impeccable service. The sirloin steaks were perfectly cooked, served timely and we were at the Symphony on time! Thanks. See you soon.

The hotel and restaurant are beautifully designed. The jazz musicians performed well and the perfect sound level to enjoy the music and conversation. Easter Brunch offering was very limited selection buffet and overpriced.

We have been to Ellie’s 3x now. The first time in April ‘22 was fine. I honestly have no memory of the experience but we clearly decided to go back so it must have been ok. Plus, it’s just so convenient to the theaters. - which is why we went the 2nd time in May ‘24. That time the service was painfully slow - it took 45 minutes to get our drinks from the bar, the food was a bit faster but only because we urged the waiter to speed it up because we were trying to make a show. We walked away saying we’d never go back. Then, last night, we changed our minds and gave the restaurant the benefit of doubt - thinking maybe that evening last year was a fluke. We were very wrong. Not only was the service terrible and tortuously slow - with a less than half full dining room - the food was sub par and extremely overpriced. We each had a cocktail, shared the focaccia, each had a salad and I had the pesto pasta and my husband had the steak frites and it was $162. We decided against dessert because everything else was bad plus we were racing to make our show on time - after arriving at the restaurant an hour and 45 minutes ahead. We left hungry… Needless to say, we will never go back. There are really good restaurants within walking distance to the theaters like Musume and La Stella. Don’t waste your money on Ellie’s.

Excellent venue, location, and food. The redfish special with spinach and fried cheese grits (patties) was superb! beautiful decor, friendly staff, excellent service, and quiet enough to support conversations that could be heard without yelling! We are excited about making this a regular habit!

The service was very slow, but I don’t think it was the server. I think it was the kitchen. In addition to the wait, my cheeseburgers (mini) arrived with no cheese and were well done. Sweet potatoes arrived in place of the regular fries for which I had asked. I didn’t have time to finish my lunch because we had to get to a 2pm show. Would not go back.
