Fantastic food and service! Restaurant had a cool vibe. We sat upstairs and had a marvelous view to the dining room below. All in all, it was an outstanding experience and a fun night out!

We had our first experience at Elvira’s last night. We were initially supposed to sit on the patio but because of the weather we requested to be moved inside. Donna was extremely helpful and pleasant and thanked us for being flexible but WE should be thanking HER for finding a space for us inside. We were at one of the high top “community tables” but it was totally fine and I’m happy we moved inside because the decor and ambience are beautiful! Our server, and I wish I remembered her name right now, was excellent, friendly and attentive as were the support servers. The guacamole was fresh and delicious served with yummy, warm chips. We had the hazelnut mole (great flavor and just the right amount of spice), the ribeye (juicy and tender, cooked just right), the seafood molcajetes (good, but not great in my opinion), street corn and fries. We shared everything family style with 4 people and it was more than enough food! We will definitely return and probably sit inside again even if the weather is good because it’s so beautiful!

Our first time. The ambience is very nice and they have an extensive menu of tequila. We started with the Queso Fundido which was truly excellent. My wife had the chicken enchiladas which were tasty but a bit too spicy for her taste. I had the Mole Almendrado which I enjoyed. I have had mole at resorts in Mexico but this was much better. The waitress was helpful in describing the "spiciness" of each of the moles on the menu. We asked the sommelier for a recommendation and he offered a sancerre which accompanied the our meal choices nicely, an excellent recommendation. The dessert menu is limited to 2 choices, but the cheesecake was outstanding. A few negatives: we don't like the $50 charge if you must cancel your reservation within less than 48 hours nor the demand that you must vacate the restaurant within 2 hours. We received an email with that notification before our arrival. On our visit, the restaurant was busy but there were empty tables so the 2 hour limit seemed unnecessary. We did not need the time, but when with a group and having a nice conversation, 2 hours could bind. Elivara's is a good addition to the many restaurants in the DC Ranch Marketplace. Parking in front is limited but there is plenty near Safeway.

We sat outside on the patio which was warm with all the heaters. Our servicer was very prompt and did a good job bringing our tasty drinks and food. My husband ordered the chili relleno which was served at room temperature, not to his satisfaction. I had the red snapper which was tasty but also just warm, not hot. Our guests had the chicken mole and flank steak which they enjoyed and was served hot. Overall, we thought the food good but not up to the standards we excepted of Elvira's, which we have visited several times in tuba.

Beautiful restaurant! Drinks and dinner were very good. A bit noisy for us. I would only sit outdoors in the future. While the food was delicious, all four of us felt the prices were high for what we got. Lovely first and last experience. If cost doesn't matter to you, we highly recommend.

We've been to Elvira's three times now and always had a great meal. Last night the chicken breast in the mole was a bit overcooked. The manager addressed it immediately and we had a good experience. The other meals were all excellent. It's challenging to get everything right all the time, particularly for a new restaurant, but the team did a great job resolving our issue. We'll be back. Often.

Snarky waiter, overpriced food and while the moles were complex and interesting the chicken breast was tough and dry.
