   We had an incredible experience at Embers. Food was delicious, atmosphere was charming, and our server Morgan was phenomenal. Due to some traffic getting to the resort we had to bump our reservation to the later seating and wow was that a lucky decision as we had the whole restaurant to ourselves! They could have very easily said we had to come at our original time but they were so accommodating and it was incredible. The only 5 star dining experience in the area and well worth the price!

   We had a great experience. I'd like to premise this with the fact that we've had bad experiences at resorts associated with National Parks, but Embers and the Tenaya Lodge in general was wonderful. For the cost the 4 course meal (we didn't get wine pairings) was really great. The service was lovely and the food quite delicious and well paced. I also thought the portions were great for such a service. We had a lovely time and it was a highlight of the trip.

   The Embers at Tenaya Lodge reservation was made a month before Christmas Day and never was a buffet mentioned in the reservation nor notification to confirm the reservation. To our surprise, a buffet was the only option and the food was not worth the $67/person plus 22% automatic tip. We waited 30 minutes for the server to bring water. Ambiance was basically not what I expected for Christmas dinner either. The hotel set up as many tables as possible in the convention room. Not the food, service or ambience I expected. Total blindside and misleading through OpenTable, the restaurant and hotel.

   The Thanksgiving buffet in the grand ballroom was as beautiful as can be. Service was friendly, the music perfect, and the food was delicious and bountiful.

   We went to Bass Lake last year for Thanksgiving. This year to Tenaya Lodge. Tenaya was far superior. It wasn't just a buffet, it was a fine dining experience. The harp music was an excellent choice also. Will do it again!

   My family and I loved everything about Embers. The food. The warm welcoming from our host/waitress. The coziness dinning area. My hubby and I did the wine paring and it was great. Everything was amazing and delicious. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.

   I was excited to experience an excellent meal for a special weekend, but we ended up disappointed with our experience. Service was great, but everything else was off. The dining room was awkwardly quiet, with tables too close to the other two couples in a room for at least 12 tables. Food was sub-par for the cost. Portions were small and unfulfilling, and the substitutes for my wife’s egg intolerance were not reasonable other options. The menu was confusing, and didn’t pair well as a whole. The wine pairings were appropriate, though. All in all, if I’m spending that much on a higher level of dining experience, I expect more.

    Fantastic elevated dining experience. The wait staff and sommelier were exceptionally attentive and gave detailed explanations of the plates and wines served to accompany each course.
