Emilia’s Aldgate is a fresh pasta restaurant located in the City within a few minutes’ walk of Aldgate/Aldgate East tube stations. It's our second restaurant following on from our first critically acclaimed and award-winning restaurant.

At Emilia’s all our pasta is made fresh every morning in our restaurant in full view of passers-by and served from our fully open kitchen. In true respect of Italian tradition, we use certified Italian produce and try our best to ensure no additives, artificial ingredients, preservatives or anything unnatural is in our food. We believe that food is much better when it’s 100% natural.

Our restaurant has a mixture of chef’s bar/counter seating (overlooking the open kitchen), normal tables, high top bar seats and a covered outdoor terrace.

Incredible food, lovely vibe, unfortunately very poor service from one woman in particular. Felt very rushed - got told to “hurry it up” which was about an hour / hour and a half into a dinner where we ordered four mains, a bottle of wine, multiple cocktails … Completely changed the atmosphere of the whole evening.

First time here and loved it. Really great food and service generally great - just took a while to get the bill and pay. But staff were really friendly. And really good location and nice vibe for dinner with friends or a casual date. Even bought some pasta to take home and try to recreate the food.

It is not my first time at Emilia's crafted pasta and I always like it. I am very glad that they maintained their prices relatively low for London and I love the fact that the quantities are "normal" - I hate when the main is so big that I can't enjoy a dessert! I have just two "but": - the pasta arrived just warm enough - the ragu was very good though. - the sound level got quite high. At the end of the dinner, I could barely hear the person in front of me.

Staff not v friendly and no flexibility for changing anything. Felt rushed as pasta arrived the second our starters were finished. Pasta sauce disappointing not much flavour could have made it better myself at home.

Outstanding venue for a family get together. Every dish on the menu was tempting. We all chose something different and every dish was fantastic. Recommend unreservedly.
