   Lovely restaurant and delicious food!! Neighborhood gem. We will return. The outdoor patio and beautiful sunset were delightful.

   The food was delicious and the new server did quite a good job, but we had no idea there would be live music and we were unable to converse at our table. The Ephesus website did not mention live music or we would have gone elsewhere for a quieter dinner. Perhaps weeknights are quieter.

   We have loved this restaurant in the past. But this time they forgot about us. We waited forever for our main dishes and only started receiving it after we went and looked for a staff member. At that point the dishes came out one person at a time over a period of at least 10 minutes. Each of wanted every one to be served before starting in. By the time the four of us were fully served, all the food was no longer warm. Very disappointing.

   Took half an hour to get our drinks and apetizers. Took mor than an hour to get the food. What should have been a one-hour dinner became a three-hour frustration. Not coming back…which is a shame because the food and terrace are great.

   The food & service get 5 stars. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals & our server took good care of us. But all of that took a turn when we got our bill & there was a 3.5% credit card charge. Never have I been to a restaurant that charges that fee. Spoke to the manager & he said it’s noted on the bottom of the menu. Well, who looks for something like that on the bottom of the menu in small print? We were all looking at the wonderful food items. That charge left a bad taste for all of us. Because of this, we will not returning to Ephesus.

   Every time I go to Ephesus I’m reminded why I hardly ever go. I want to like it, but the service is always slow and spotty, even though the servers are very nice the execution just isn’t there. The lamb is always overdone, some Of the food is way too salty, and it was the worst moussaka I’ve ever had. It’s a shame because the location has a lovely view (which they could further maximize by opening the plastic curtains) and the menu items read like they should be good. The mezzes are really good.
