E-San Thai Cuisine in downtown Portland, Oregon is family owned and operated, and has been in business since 1999. Chef specials at E-San Thai Cuisine include salmon Penang, catfish pad phet and duck pad thai, and with more than 70 menu items to choose from, everyone in your party will find something to love. For starters, you might try the golden pot stickers, Thai fish cakes or fresh garden rolls. Soups and salads are also plentiful. For your entrée, choose a flavorful stir-fry or perhaps one of several curry dishes. The menu at E-San Thai Cuisine is also very much focused on seafood, with offerings like pla duk pad phet, po hang and crispy trout. Meat and poultry dishes are less extensive, but the lemongrass chicken and Thai sausage are both very pleasing. You can also partake of a glass of wine, cold beer or specialty cocktail with your meal.

Thai chicken was dry and not edible. Pad thai was good but smothered in sauce. In fairness we were there for lunch and they were overwhelmed with crowds. Must be popular. Our experience was poor.

I have been visiting this restaurant for several years now. Consistency and service are great. I continue to go back and try new menu items as well as take friends to let them experience it. I recommend it for dinner, for lunch and for groups.

The food is pretty decent for a Thai place, the Pineapple Fried Rice dinner is amazing; they take a full pineapple slice it lengthwise, gut one side mix the pineapple pieces with the vegetables and your choice of meat, then put it back in the pineapple half which overfills it and serve it to you on a plate.

We decided to go to one of mine and my bf's favorite places for our first "dining out with friends" dinners. We have loved this place and the Pineapple Fried Rice is both of our personal favorites. The crab ragoons are delicious as well as numerous other menu items that we have had other times we have dined here. We will be back many more times I'm sure!!
