   Phenomenal food and gorgeous atmosphere. Every dish was exceptional - our group had crab cakes, salads, filets, vodka pasta and sea bass. The service, however, needs to work out some kinks. It took far too long (30 minutes) to get our first cocktail. Plates were not timely cleared between courses, so empty/dirty plates were still on the table after the next course was served. Too many servers were standing around talking to one another and not actually observing the tables to see where service was needed. We plan to return, but expect the service to be improved after these early opening weeks.

   We took my mom and brother, and everyone loved it!!! It was so fun to eat dinner in the main dining area where the piano is, and then go to the disco lounge for drinks and dancing! The DJ played great hits. We had a blast!

   First Evelyn is brand new, open for a week and couple days. This is brought to you by the people that opened The Mexican just down the street so if you like The Mexican give this place a shot. Evelyn's is broken into 4 dinning areas. The piano room, an upper bar/seating area, a lower bar/seating/possible dance area, and a private room in the back. When you make a reservation you can choose your vibe. This place is a vibe. The DJ was on point kicking out 70s disco era beats which went with the theme of the restaurant and while it was loud it was no so loud you had to shout to have a conversation the perfect balance IMO. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and vibing as well which is fun to see. The food was top notch. Started with Shrimp cocktail which was pretty standard, gluten alergy kept us from some other choices we wanted but this was a good start. Next up BLT Wedge salad this was fantasticly flavorful. I hint of spice and really large, we split it, It was not overly blue cheese like some wedges but great flavors. Next the spinel steak and veal chop parmesan. The veal was massive covers the plate massive. It does have a little kick in spice from the sauce but not overwhelming. If you like the one at Carbone you would really like this one. The spinel steak was the hit though. Great salt and pepper cust, tender and bursting with flavor and a large portion. We did not finish either and took them to go. We finished with the girl scout cookie icecream. Very delicious with shaved cocnut, chocolate sauce with vanilla it comes with short bread cookie crumbles but gluten struck again and we had it without those but it really didnt need them it was so delicious. We also enjoyed there dirty martini's which took you back to old hollywood. Who doesnt love a great martini. The only let down was the win list - Caveat they are still building out the wine list so give them some slack and have another cocktail you wont miss the wine. Go here
