   Fable is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants in the Castro, my go-to. I love their patio dining, and the food is consistently good. This visit did not disappoint. The service and our server were fabulous. Our group ordered the pork chop, which was the hit of the evening. It was juicy, full of flavor, and served with roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet potato mash—a great combination. Someone ordered the cheeseburger, and it was good, consistent with prior visits. The only item we wouldn't order again was the cioppino. The person who ordered it said the soup lacked depth and complexity, and there was no crab in the dish. Overall, it was bland, even after they added the house-made habanero sauce.

   Great place for brunch. Outdoor area was very nice and clean. Food tasted great and our server was very attentive. Will revisit soon.

   All good save the couple at the next table who spilled water all over me and my outer wear. I was surprised by the baptism.

   Fable is like a well-oiled machine, when I want a sweet, little restaurant getaway that feels like home away from home, I go to Fable! The food is deliciously consistent and more healthy than not. The staff are attentive but not up in your grill and if you’re lucky enough to get a patio table for your weekend brunch, the delightful ambiance brings it all together and why Fable is one of my favorite places in the City!

   Fable is one of my new favorite spots in the Castro to grab a bite. Their heated garden seating is perfect for date night or catching up with some friends. I went on a Friday night and they seemed to be moderately busy. Was thankful they were mindful about spacing out tables so im not eating dinner with the table next to me. Food is great and the staff is super friendly! When in doubt where to eat, I’m going to Fable.

   Outstanding. Warm and friendly staff. On the ball. From the front of the house to the bussers. But it’s always been that way. My meal was perfection. Steak and eggs, cooked exactly to my specifications. Honestly, the menu is so good it’s hard to decide what to get. Atmosphere is like no where in the city. Rain or shine, dining in a garden, with heaters, is just delightful. Please don’t change Fable. You have my heart (and my tastebuds). 🫶🏻

   Caring, good service in a lovely garden patio with no shortage of heat. Fable is a popular, fun neighborhood place we all love. We'd love to see a larger menu and some specials, but we also know that is challenging in todays City restaurant scene. The best Nicoise Salad around on the lunch menu.
