My spouse and I enjoyed our first date night of 2025, a long-awaited occasion. The venue's ambiance was ideal for a Friday evening. Our server provided exceptional service, expertly guiding us through the menu and offering insightful recommendations. My wife, a Johnson & Wales culinary graduate, possesses discerning tastes; however, she found the three-course meal to be quite satisfactory. The mushroom soup was excellent. My Brussels sprout salad, while enjoyable, highlighted a personal preference for alternative preparations. The mussels and frites were well-executed, though a more generous sauce portion for the mussels would have been preferable. The frites were crisp and well-seasoned. The spaghetti was excellent, and the scallops were perfectly cooked; however, the cornmeal/grits pairing proved less successful. Overall, the food merited a solid B+. We plan to order à la carte on our next visit. The only area requiring improvement was the cocktails. My Old Fashioned was under-proofed, lacking sufficient alcohol content. My wife's unique cocktail also suffered from a similar deficiency. The bartender should increase the alcohol concentration in future preparations. We recommend ordering drinks neat.

This was our first time, and we had a lovely experience. It is such a cozy, unique space Downtown Duluth. From the decor, staff, to the food - it is now a new favorite for us. Perfect place to bring our family and guests when they visit, too!

The service was excellent...very attentive. The food was outstanding. Parking is a little tricky. The sound level, as it relates to the other diners in the restaurant and the servers was tolerable . But my wife and I found the throbbing, loud and heavy beat of the background music to be annoying and off-putting. In fact, although the food and service was great, what I remember most about the experience was how annoying the music was and how it diminished what was to be a quiet memorable (in a positive way) anniversary dinner.

There is not a lot of items on the menu but the porkchop and butternut squash were spectacular. Ambience was great and chill. Service was great.

After two try’s still couldn’t cook my pork correctly, the manager was very good in taking it off my bill and offering a future discount card. Our waitress was excellent in trying to get the kitchen to do their job, but they failed. This was our 34th anniversary, which will be memorable.
