   I visited this restaurant for lunch and was planning to return few days later for dinner due to its James Beard Foundation recognition, but it falls far short of that standard. The food was disappointing - my lasagna was clearly reheated, the salad tasted like it came from Costco, and the ingredients seemed mass-produced from the Restaurant Depot and definitely not locally sourced as claimed. The service was inattentive, and there was no draft beer available. For four people, three canned beers, a crusty microwaved lasagna, a bland beet salad, rigatoni, a poorly prepared sliced steak, and a disappointing subpar “fish burger”, that was just overpowring mayonnaise and canned tuna — no real fish, the bill came to little under $300. It felt like a disrespectful rip-off. The entire experience was underwhelming with mediocre food prepared behind the wall so you can’t see anything. To make matters worse, after posting my review, they canceled my other dinner reservation I had made weeks in advance - without any explanation. This was not only unprofessional but downright disrespectful. I had planned to cancel it myself, but for them to take that action without any communication felt like petty retaliation. To add insult to injury, they seated a family of four, including two minors, at the bar, which is illegal in many places. This restaurant is all flash and no substance. It's nowhere near deserving of its James Beard recognition - it's a complete joke. The gap between this place and true James Beard standards is like the distance between Earth and Mars. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to steer clear.

   My experience of Fete, this place is very overrated will not go back. The reason : when waiter mention the special of the day he should also mention the price of the dish .

   Fete has great food and a nice staff. Basically it ends there. The restaurant is in a seedy part of town, it is extremely noisy inside and has little to no ambience. The food does carry it but tough to give it high marks because of the other issues. Finding parking is very difficult at night And not comfortable because of the area. We had wonderful fresh fish, the appetizers called spreads are delicious, fried chicken very good. Special beet salad also very tasty. it’s a shame it’s not in a better location.

   It was definitely one of the best meals my family had in Hawaii. Service was friendly, food was amazing and the price was very reasonable. We will be back for sure.

   Great vibe, food & service. Enjoyed my meal very much. Loved the flash baked oysters and could’ve made a meal if just a dozen of those. Crispy chicken was excellent and not your average fried piece of protein. All around a wonderful find and experience on my first trip to Hawaii.

   Amazing food, amazing service. Always happy when we dine at Fete. We split two of the entree specials and could barely believe how good they were. Thank you to everyone at this fine, fine restaurant!

    we really loved trying this restaurant for the first time! The waiter was so knowledgeable and really helped us carve our experience so beautifully… There were some service lapses in terms of refilling waters, etc. Our tables were excruciatingly close together, almost making it impossible to get to our seats All in all… We were very happy and hope to try the restaurant again perhaps requesting a round table for 3 .. mahalo nui loa
