The First In Last Out (FILO), is a family run free-house in the Old Town of Hastings. Alongside our award winning beer, we serve quality food prepared from scratch. We offer lunch and dinner everyday, including our ever popular Tapas night (Monday), Indian Thali (Thursday) and Sunday roasts.

The brewery is located just two minutes away from the pub, where we produce five regular ales using a full mash-tun process. We love live music and host regular Sunday evening gigs, of which details can be found on our website.

The pub is popular with locals and tourists alike, who love to get cosy in our booth seating or warm up on cold winters' days around our unique central fireplace.

Dogs and children are most welcome.

    We had a booth which made the experience private and very enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the food was delicious and plentiful. You won’t go home hungry!

    Unfortunately not the old style English pub roast dinner with a crackling fire that we had hoped for, We were seated in an area out the back - far from the fire - and the food was very mediocre. Sorry to say this. The staff we lovely though!

    The main and dessert was just warm and not hot. The waitress and landlord were very friendly. Nice friendly pub with a lovely open fire.

    Our group meet up every month and try somewhere different every time. The Filo food was amazing and the service was lovely, very friendly. We would definitely go there again for food.
