Established in 1999 and proudly celebrating twenty years in Borough Market this year, fish! was the first restaurant of its kind in London. Our concept is simple – providing our customers with the best quality fish, cooked in front of you, in simple and classic ways. Since 1999 our focus has never changed, quality and responsible sourcing is still our main concern…we just look a bit more fancy now!
Our central location in Borough Market means that London’s best produce is right on our doorstep. We are proud to say that we source most of our produce from Borough Market itself, and our fish is delivered daily from our very own fishmonger, Jarvis, which is renowned for its extensive range of the freshest fish and seafood. We're also winners at the National Fish & Chip awards too!

The whole experience from start to finish was faultless. Warm welcome, attentive service without being intrusive, pleasant staff, just right amount of time between courses. The food was excellent and the portions extremely generous. We are a group of 5 mature women who regularly meet for lunch, and although we enjoy somewhere with a bit of atmosphere, it's very important to us that the background buzz is not too loud, as we all have a lot to talk about!! The noise level was totally acceptable and didn't present any problems.

We headed to Fish! with many recommendations to try their Fish Pie. That is exactly what we had and I'm glad we did. Excellent chunks of fish [with nary a bone], mushrooms, in a cream sauce and covered with beautifully prepared and presented mashed potatoes. The house white is perfect with this superb dish. The Burough Market can be a bit confusing - Fish! is right next to the Southwark Cathedral.

Lovely waiting staff and food. The only thing all 3 of us objected to was that our main courses were supposed to be with a ‘selection of vegetables’ but in fact this amounted to a bed of cabbage!

We were a bit disappointed with how crammed in the tables were. We were very close to the table next to us. Our waiter wasn’t rude but also not friendly. The fish/seafood was good but the chips were not. An underwhelming experience compared to service we received elsewhere during our trip.

Very buzzy atmosphere in the heart of Borough Market, we had a delicious fresh fish lunch, outside. Service was excellent and we felt very relaxed.

Very accommodating about late request to put booking time back one hour. Nice greeting on arrival, provided with a table on terrace as requested despite our late change to arrival time. Service excellent throughout, menu has excellent range of choices although one more vegetarian main might aid mixed diet parties. Food choices were all very good and well cooked and presented. Very enjoyable visit would recommend.
