   We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and booked high tea for this special occasion. Everything was absolutely amazing, from the exceptional service to the incredible menu. Their pastry chef, Daria, is one of the most talented chefs in Vancouver. Her creativity and passion for crafting delicious desserts are truly beyond words. If you’re looking for a unique dining experience in Vancouver, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

   A great place for that special dinner. Amazing food, service and ambience. Truly 5 * from beginning to end. Loved the cauliflower veloute. Although on the pricey side, the wagyu beef steak is a great choice. Flawless, well coordinated and professional service delivered by the whole team. 5 Sails is a real gem for our city.

   Overall the service is nice and caring. It was a busy night and sometimes I could not find my server for help. But she was caring and smiling all the time. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and we were served a surprise birthday dessert. We really appreciated such a warm-hearted action in such a cold weather. However, it is highly NOT recommended for parents bringing infant or child. The ceiling is too low and the noise is trapped in the restaurant and make everything so loud. We could barely hear the server introducing the cuisine. Also, this was our first time to be here and we brought our 5-month old son for dinner. The server was providing good service but the facility was not. We have spent half an hour to find a restroom having a diaper changing table. At first I was told that there was a changing table in the restroom. But then I could not see any in the restrooms in R level. Then I was told that there probably was one in the restroom on one level down, i.e. L level. When I got there, I could not find either. Luckily I found a staff to help. He brought me to a gentleman baby restroom in the area which was fenced up. He told me that nobody would use it. He then unlocked the door for me and asked me to tell the front desk once I have finished using it to make sure they will lock it up afterwards. After I used it, I headed to the front desk and told another staff that I have finished using the diaper changing room. The staff looked annoyed and wrote down something on a paper. It is 'amazing' that it is the first time I have been to a hotel that is so unfriendly to parents bringing their child to their restaurant.

Our team should have done a better job directing you to the appropriate bathroom located on G level and I apologize that this was not communicated.    This restaurant was truly incredible. I brought my wife here for her birthday and we each tried the 5-course chef's sampler. The way they combined flavors with each dish was like nothing I had ever experienced before. The food was amazing, but so was the service. Every server, host, and employee we interacted with was top-notch. It is on the pricier side, but for the experience you receive, it is worth the price of admission.

   As good as it gets. A wonderful romantic setting, great view, and outstanding food. Not cheap but good value for an outstanding meal.
