   This was our first time. The ambience is nice. The music was not loud. Just right. Play lots of old school classics. My daughters liked the wine and drinks. The fried green tomatoes 🍅 and the catfish nuggets are really good. For my entree, I ordered fried chicken with okra, macaroni and cheese. One daughter ordered yams. The other French fries. The hubby ordered a veggie plate with greens, potato 🥔 salad, and cole slaw. The meals were not good. We are visiting my oldest daughter from Alabama. This was the worst soul food I've ever eaten. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it had nutmeg in it. The cheese tasted processed. The okra had vinegar or something tangy on it. My husband ate the potato salad. The rest was terrible. My youngest daughter said the yams had an aftertaste. Not enough nutmeg and cinnamon. She also said it didn't taste like there were any vanilla and lemon flavorings in them. We packed up all the food, brought it back to my daughter's home in Corona, and threw it in the trash. If you're from the east coast, do not eat here unless it is the appetizers. Or something that can't be messed up. But do check them out. It's all the way live.

   So the vibes with the music is good but, being seated 30 mins after reservations is ridiculous. The fish was fried to soft. The sides are better than the entrees. Also, they need a loud speaker or mics to call out names you can barely hear or understand who they call for their table.

   MARY was our server & she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Very attentive, gave great suggestions & made it a point to make sure everything tasted delicious! Our drinks were never empty! Rounded regularly to make sure we didn’t need anything else. Outstanding service! There was also a hostess (I didn’t get her name, unfortunately) who was just so sweet & welcoming at check-in. She was very attentive as well & even noticed we added ‘Birthday’ as the special occasion. She didn’t have too, but she inquired further to find out it was my twin sister & I’s birthday then wished us a happy birthday! I thought it was just so sweet! Such a small gesture goes an awful long way. Everyone we encountered was just so kind! (Even with it being sooo busy!) As I said earlier on, the food was delicious…will definitely be back very soon!!!

   We were running late, party of 4, the hostess was very understanding and so accommodating. Once seated our servers were polite, respectful and friendly. The staff all pitched in. Our dining experience was flawless. Wanted a little more seasoning in the mac and cheese. Maybe sweeter yams. Greens, chicken, red beans & rice all on point. The peach cobbler exquisite! Price, quality and serving size can’t be beaten! We will always go back👍🏾👍🏾
