   We made a reservation exclusively to taste the flavors and cuisine of Chef Ki Kim and this 30-day pop-up. The food was quite tasty as expected from the shot rib to the pancake and noodle with woodland mushrooms. The evening was slightly dulled by the lack of experienced servers who either weren’t familiar with Chef’s dishes or never tried the special menu themselves. One server admitted to not liking more than half the entree selections which seemed more than odd. The drink service was atrocious for a slower Sunday night and tables were being flipped for closing before we finished. They even turned off the patio heaters.

   We focused on the guest Chef Kim’s menu items and enjoyed every dish. The tomato salad and fried chicken were top of the mark. The sweet corn side is a definite must. The gimbap beef tartare was quite good. The kimchi and nori sides nicely rounded out the shared plate meal. We noticed some very interesting menu items that we’ll for sure be returning to check out.

   We have lived nearby for several years but never have actually gone into the flamingo. We went specifically for this pop-up dining event. The hotel (which happened to be hosting a Halloween party on this Saturday night we went) was probably the highest energy activity that we have seen anywhere in SonomaCounty. The food that we went specifically for was pretty hit and miss. They were out of the halibut Crudo. The beef taco car, accompanied by Nori sushi crisp fried and filled with an avocado cream was really quite delicious. Most of the rest of the dishes evoked Korean cuisine (which we’ve eaten many many times, including multiple times in Korea) but were uniquely bland. The Korean pancakes with seafood were probably the highlight. The noodle dish was greasy and over sauce; the Kim cheese were clearly tone down to a barely spicy level (although the presence of kimchi style Parrilla leaves was a welcome surprise). The prices were actually quite reasonable and discovering the hotel was a fun adventure. Would I go for this menu again? No thanks

   Didn't feel like a fine dining meal although the food was very good. Wines on the wine list were not available or the year was misrepresented. At times, service was slow.

    The spicy baked eggs was delicious. Highly recommend trying. We sat outside with a view of the pool. I don’t know if it’s normal for this restaurant, but there were so many groups of teenagers just walking through multiple times. Definitely odd and threw off the vibe.
