I Love FLORA!!!! It was a delightful place to celebrate brunch!! We had the Huevos Rancheros and they were DELICIOUS!!! OK here is a great add - Ask for a side of the MOLE SAUCE!! The mole sauce at Flora is Fantastic! The ambiance with all the lovely chandeliers, the view of the Bayou and Downtown skyline and the Spanish guitar during brunch - perfect "chef's kiss"

Despite making reservations for standard dining well in advance, we were sat at a terrible table.. right in front of the bar, that’s supposed to be a waiting area for people. Food is okay, overall Not a great experience.

My two girlfriends and I came to Flora to celebrate National Margarita Day, and it was a fantastic experience! I had two mezcal margaritas—one classic and one with guava—both smoky, smooth, and well-balanced. My friends enjoyed the Flora Margarita and loved it. We shared the queso, getting the chorizo on the side since I don’t eat meat, and it was rich and flavorful. One of my friends also had the tortilla soup, which not only tasted delicious but had a beautiful presentation. Our waiter, Alan, was amazing—super friendly and gave great food recommendations. The ambiance was lively yet elegant, making it the perfect spot for a fun night out. I’d definitely come back!

We went in for drinks and appetizers; the tortilla soup was perfect. Nachos with white cheese were nice. Margaritas were a little pricey but very tasty. The manager checked on us and seemed sincerely concerned about our experience. Our waitress, I wish I remembered her name, was great as well.

Food was excellent! Ambiance was very pleasant. Chandeliers are beautiful! It was a little annoying we were not offered a purse/coat stand at our table for our jackets and purses. All the other tables had them - probably an oversight of the hostess. Overall a lovely place and experience. Will definitely be going back.

I wanted to take a moment to share our experience, as it was not only disappointing but also frustrating. This was our first time dining at Flora, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. We had made a reservation and requested a table by the window upon arrival. We could see available tables, yet we were repeatedly told they were reserved. Despite also having a reservation, we were placed in the middle of the restaurant. What made matters worse was being given different explanations—first that the tables were reserved, again we also had reserved a table, then that at least one was held for the owner. The most frustrating part came when, after we had already started looking at the menu, we saw a party of two, we were a party of four, seated at one of the very tables we had requested. At that point, we no longer felt welcome and decided to leave. I let the manager know, I was told that a last-minute cancellation had opened up a table. Made not sense what so ever. This explanation did not justify the poor service we received and only added to our frustration. For an upscale restaurant, we expected far better treatment and a level of service that values all guests equally. Instead, we left feeling dismissed and unimportant. Given this experience, we have no desire to return.
