   We have been to this location, among others, several times. Our most recent visit was very disappointing. There were several large parties that the restaurant was ill prepared for causing delays in reservations and mass congestion at the hostess stand. Our reservation was around 30 minutes late and the hostess could not give anyone an accurate idea on wait. Whether it was the large crowd or something else, many of the cuts of meat were dry and tasteless, and servers seemed pushy even when our card was red. Not sure we’ll go back to this location anytime soon when the DC area has several options now.

   We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were told it would be 5-10 minutes wait. 20 minutes later they said our table was being set. Half an hour later they said said they didnt have a table yet and didn’t know when they would be able to seat us, so we told them to cancel our reservation and went elsewhere. They said they overbook, and that it is always like this. Others were also waiting longer than we had.

   I called in advance to request a round table for our party of 9. After arriving promptly for our reservation, we waited 15 minutes for a table and were seated at rectangle table near the front door and were squished in a narrow space with servers having to squeeze by us. Our first waiter was new and incorrectly told us that the salad bar was an additional charge to our fish entries. We asked multiple times for drink refills and additional sides as the initial sides were served well before our entrees and were cold. The check had an overcharge but was corrected.

   We had ask the waiters atleast 5 times where our drinks were even then no sign of the drinks. Had to talk with manager about it and by the time drinks came we had finished half our dinner. Won’t be going back.

   Food was good. We were offered still or sparkling water upon being seated. We chose still water and were charged $8 for it. We had only 4 different meats provided ( picahna was offered on repeat). We asked for refills on the hot sides but they never came. We didn’t get any cheese bread until we were almost done eating. Overall for the price we paid, it wasn’t worth it at all

   Reservations is a must during a holiday like today. Only had to wait a few minutes before our table was ready. Our server (Camille?) was impressive being able to balance so many plates, but she also kept our drinks filled. Some cuts of meat were dry (lamb chops, pork belly, and bottom ribeye) and some (sirloin and garlic sirloin) were perfect. The tomahawk steak (entree order) was cooked perfectly and big enough that we (party of four) had to take the rest home. While it was quite noisy, it’s understandable given the day. Overall, I felt I had a pretty good experience.

   Moises and staff are always marvelous! Meats at the necessary temp (ask for temp you want) and service is always on point. When they are super busy, please be patient they are only human 🙂

    It was Thanksgiving but the service was not great. It took forever to get drinks and the meat options being offered were very limited.
